⚽🩷 GAME DAY WITH A PURPOSE! 🩷⚽

It’s another exciting Saturday of soccer for our West Florida Soccer Club and Sporting West Florida families!

🎀 WFSC REC | PINK OUT GAME DAY!

Today, we’re turning our fields PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💕

We’ll have temporary tattoos, bracelets, pins, pink hair spray, pink hair glitter, pink hair tinsel, pink balloons, and more to help everyone get into the PINK OUT spirit! 🎀

Everything is FREE! Donations are welcome but never required, and all donations collected will go toward supporting a local breast cancer organization. 🩷

We encourage all players, coaches, parents, and spectators to wear pink as we come together to honor the fighters, celebrate the survivors, and remember those we’ve lost.

Today is about more than soccer. It’s about community, compassion, and showing support for those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. 🩷

💗⚽ PAINT THE PITCH PINK! ⚽💗

This Saturday, October 24, we’re turning West Florida Soccer Club PINK in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Breast cancer has touched several families within our own soccer community, and we want to come together to raise awareness, show support, and stand behind those who have been affected. 💕

🎀 PLAYERS, COACHES & PARENTS — WEAR YOUR PINK!

Pink socks, headbands, hair ribbons, accessories — whatever you’ve got! We want to see our fields AND sidelines filled with pink!

💗 We’ll also have some fun, FREE activities for the kids!

* Temporary tattoos

* Bracelets

Everything is completely FREE! We’ll also be accepting optional donations to support a local breast cancer organization. Donations are appreciated but never expected!

🏆 BLUE ANGEL CLASSIC | FOLEY, AL 🏆

A great weekend of soccer for Sporting West Florida at the Blue Angel Classic!

We had several teams representing SWF throughout the tournament, with FOUR teams bringing home medals!

🥇 U16B – CHAMPIONS
🥇 U9G – CHAMPIONS
🥈 U15G – FINALISTS
🥈 U11B – FINALISTS

Beyond our medal winners, we’re proud of every SWF team that took the field this weekend. Plenty of hard work, competition, and great soccer across the board!

Congratulations to our players and coaches on a successful tournament weekend, and thank you to all the families who made the trip to support our teams!

IT’S GAME DAY! ⚽️

After a long week of hurricane cleanup and unexpected challenges, we’re ready to get back to what we love!

Our West Florida Soccer Club recreational players are back on the fields today, while our Sporting West Florida competitive teams head to Foley, Alabama, for the Blue Angel Classic! 🏆

A little normalcy, a lot of soccer, and plenty of reasons to smile.

Good luck to all our players and coaches this weekend! Play hard, support each other, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!

⚽ WFSC & Sporting West Florida – Club Update

As our community continues to recover from the hurricane, we want to share a few important updates regarding practices and games.

🔹 PRACTICES – REC & COMPETITIVE

All recreational and competitive team practices are scheduled to resume Monday, October 19.

🔹 REC GAMES – THIS WEEKEND

Recreational games are still scheduled to take place this Saturday, October 17.

🔹 FIELD & FACILITY CONDITIONS

Our complex is still facing several challenges following the storm:

* The majority of our fields are currently without lighting.
* Emergency response crews are utilizing portions of our parking lot.
* We are continuing to assess field conditions, facility access, and other storm-related issues.

We ask that everyone remain patient and flexible as we work through these challenges. The safety of our players, families, coaches, and emergency personnel remains our priority.

We also recognize that many of our soccer families are still dealing with storm damage, power outages, and cleanup efforts at home. Our community comes first, and soccer will always be here when you’re ready.

We will continue to provide updates as conditions change and appreciate everyone’s understanding as we work toward returning to normal operations.

Dear WFSC & SWF Families,

First and foremost, we hope you and your families are safe following the severe weather that impacted our community.

Unfortunately, our soccer complex sustained significant damage, including downed fencing, broken field lighting, and debris and glass scattered across multiple fields. We are also currently without electricity.

🚨 FACILITY CLOSURE & PROGRAM UPDATES

Our soccer complex will remain closed through at least Wednesday, October 14, with hopes of reopening Thursday, October 15, pending restoration of electricity and safety assessments.

Recreational Program:

As many of you know, we had planned to make up the games canceled this past Saturday throughout the upcoming week. Unfortunately, due to the storm damage and facility closure, those makeup games will no longer take place. We have made the decision to cancel those games entirely rather than attempt to reschedule them again.

I truly hate that we are losing a weekend of soccer, especially knowing how much our players look forward to their games. However, I also recognize that many of our families, coaches, and volunteers are dealing with damage to their homes, power outages, and the challenges of recovering from this storm.

Right now, there are much more important things that deserve everyone’s time and attention. The last thing I want is for anyone to feel additional pressure or stress over coordinating soccer games when they have so much more on their plates.

Competitive Program – Sporting West Florida:

All competitive team practices and activities at the complex are also canceled until at least Thursday, October 15.

Our club leadership will continue assessing the damage, monitoring facility conditions, and working toward restoring a safe environment for everyone. Updates will be provided as assessments continue, and we will notify all families and coaches when the complex is safe to reopen and activities may resume.

💙 OUR SOCCER COMMUNITY

Soccer is important to all of us, but our families and community will always come first.

For now, please focus on yourselves, your families, and getting things back to normal. We will work through the soccer side of things together once everyone has had a chance to recover.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding. We have an incredible soccer community, and I know we will get through this together.

Investing in Our Coaches. Investing in Our Players.

This past week, two of our Sporting West Florida coaches traveled to Tallahassee to participate in the four-day, in-person U.S. Soccer C License Course!

Throughout the week, they had the opportunity to learn, collaborate with fellow coaches, challenge themselves, and gain valuable knowledge and tools to bring back to their players.

At Sporting West Florida, we believe great coaching goes beyond the sidelines. It takes dedication, continued education, and a genuine passion for helping young athletes develop both on and off the field.

We’re proud of these two coaches for investing their time and energy into becoming better leaders, mentors, and educators for our players.

When our coaches grow, our players grow. 🩵⚽🧡

Welcome back, coaches, just in time to ride the hurricane out with the rest of us !
