Sunny Gilmore Racing

I was able to get the car stripped down and ready to be washed! Thankfully I didn’t just put the nose on and go race because we found that the steering shaft ujoints are about to fall slap out!!!! We will spend a few weeks doing some much needed maintenance!

With working a ton of 16 hour shifts all week, we have decided to make the decision to not race this weekend. As much as we really wanted too, we just haven’t had the time to touch the car! We will still be heading over there to crew & enjoy the races this Labor Day weekend!

We struggled early in the night with a 5th place finish in our heat race which put us starting 10th, we were able to rally back in the feature and bring it home 6th!

Knocked the nose of it, and got a little body damage but we was up on the wheel finally 👍🏻

This weekend was full of highs & lows, but so many memories were made!

We had a really good & fast car, driver just needs to be more aggressive and get out of her own head + way!

Racing is a mental battle, and sometimes you just loose the battle.

We had speed, 67th out of 116 in hot laps is pretty impressive, just wasn’t able to capitalize on that the rest of the weekend.

We need to show Herbie some serious love and attention before next race, which will be August 29th at Deep South Speedway!
