Wisconsin Legion Softball Registration 2024 Season

Teamwork prevails! After DeForest survived 77 mph winds the Friday night of the state tournament, Legion volunteers and players found the Division 2 field fence had been blown over by the straight-line winds. Upon their arrival to the athletic complex early Saturday morning, Division 1 team Kickapoo came to Legion Volunteers and offered to help re-stand the fence. The village staff asked them not to for fear of injury and liability. Village staff and Legion volunteers began an attempt to right the fence. Human power alone wasn't enough so the village retrieved a power vehicle to assist. The vehicle got it started but that too, wasn't enough. Seeing this while warming up in the right field area, all eleven Grantsburg players all dropped their gloves and balls on the field and ran to the right field fence as a team... again with no prompting. It was their assist that completed the up-righting of the outfield fence. This is Legion Softball. 🥎
