The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Milwaukee County, effective from 3:07pm this afternoon until 10:00pm this evening.

Due to this upgraded severe weather forecast and out of an abundance of caution for your safety, all evening outdoor recreation programs are canceled for this evening, Thursday, May 15th.

Congratulations to our 2025 Men's All-City Basketball Tournament Champions 'Am Spees and Turkey Sandwiches'. After going 10-0 in league play they won four tournament games to earn the title of champions. Great season everyone! Men's & Women's basketball will be back with summer leagues in June. Registration will be available soon!

Also a huge shoutout to our Men's Fall Basketball League Champions 'Team Ring' managed by Brandon Ring. They have now won back-to-back leagues in 2024 (Summer & Fall). You will see them in action on Wednesday's this winter at Marshall HS, starting in December. All other winter leagues are full. Congrats guys!

Congrats to our Men's Flag Football Champions 'Little Giants', managed by Jose Malave! They defeated the 'Cream City Kingsmen' by a final score of 12-6 in the championship. We finished up our playoffs at Pulaski High School Stadium on Wednesday, November 13. We will be back with our Men's Flag Football 'A' League next fall, so please be sure to look out for registration details in the coming months.

After 7 months, softball season has officially concluded! We finished up our fall season last night. Thanks to all of our staff, umpires, and players on a wonderful year. Congrats to all of our Fall League Champions below and see you next year!

We still have 1 team opening for the Kick or Treat Kickball Tournament on October 26th @ Burnham Playfield (9am-5pm).

The tournament will feature competitive game-play and exciting costumes, making it one of the most anticipated Milwaukee Recreation events this fall. Costumes for this event are encouraged and awards are given to the first and second place teams, as well as the best costume. The cost to participate is $80 per team.

Our 50+ Fall Co****le League was in action today at Burnham fieldhouse. We have 8 players and 4 teams for this session. The 50+ sports department hopes to offer a winter league in January at one of our indoor facilities. Our Tuesday morning 50+ softball league at Burnham & Rogers finished up on Sep. 3. Just wanted to congratulate 'Big City Softball' managed by Ken Wald on winning the 2024 50+ Softball Tournament Championship. Milwaukee Recreation had 12 teams who competed in a 14-game regular season + playoff from April-September. Congrats to all on a wonderful season!
