Flat calm Lake Michigan and a great charter trip. Could’ve been a few degrees cooler.🥵
Wanted to thank Wade and his group for fishing with Reel Obsession Sport Fishing this morning. It was hot as hades out there with little to no breeze, but they were all determined to catch some fish. It was tough, with a majority of the fish coming off boards with copper & spoons and lead core & spoons on the far outside. One downrigger was active with a spoon set at 60 feet of cable. Went 7 for 11 with 3 nice Chinook/King Salmon, 1 Coho Salmon, 2 Rainbow Trout and 1 Lake Trout. Had 4 other fish on for short periods of time, but they managed to elude the net and cooler. Thanks once again Wade and safe travels back home.

Fishing on board Reel Obsession continues to be stellar. Limit or near limit catches continue to be had. We’ve been blessed with a tremendous season for Coho Salmon thus far. There are a few Chinook Salmon and Rainbow Trout showing up in our catches as well. As long as Mother Nature decides to play nice, the remainder of this season is shaping up to be a great one! Contact me for available dates to experience some awesome fishing.

Well, good old Lake Michigan threw us a little curve ball for our Saturday afternoon trip with a wind shift and increase. Was not on the weather menu, but we adjusted and were successful.
Some long time friends came to town to visit. Thanks Kari & Craig (Brad & Sue too). We battled through a slow start and found a patch of water holding some active Chinook. For a while, the talk on the boat was all about the dreaded North Dakota Two Fish Limit (inside joke)🤣. We put together a fairly decent catch by the end of the trip. Once again Kari and Craig, thanks so very much for coming to visit and catching up. I’ll be headed you way in August! You can count on that!
