Zylphia was named the Grand Prize Winner in the Grades 6–8 Division of the 2026 USTA Midwest Tennis & Education Foundation NJTL Essay Contest!

Her essay reflected on the theme “Realize the Dream” and shared how she uses her voice, her love of tennis, and her commitment to others to make a difference in her community.

We love having Zylphia (and her family) as part of the MTEF family, and we’re thrilled to see her hard work, thoughtfulness, and leadership recognized across the Midwest.

More Than Tennis: Animal Encounters

One of the favorite days of MTEF Summer Camp is when Ms. Kim and her amazing animals come to visit!

Campers learn about each animal, asking questions, and discovering fascinating facts about the creatures they meet. Then comes everyone's favorite part—they get the chance to interact with them up close by holding, petting, and experiencing these incredible animals firsthand.

The excitement isn't just for the campers...our staff love it too!

A huge thank you to Ms. Kim for sharing her knowledge, her passion, and her wonderful animals with us each summer. Because at MTEF, we’re building more than tennis players—we’re inspiring curiosity that reaches far beyond the court.

🎉 We are so proud to celebrate Cullen White as a member of the inaugural YNPN Milwaukee 30 Under 30 class!

Cullen was recognized alongside 29 other incredible young nonprofit professionals who are making a difference across Milwaukee through their leadership, service, innovation, and impact.

For the past six years, Cullen has been giving back to MTEF, and over the last two years, he has stepped into an even bigger leadership role. He has an incredible ability to connect with young people, making them feel heard, respected, and motivated to learn. He is also a mentor to the coaches around him and someone whose patience, leadership, and commitment have made a lasting impact on MTEF.

We already knew Cullen was pretty special, but we love seeing others recognize it too.

Congratulations, Cullen, and congratulations to the entire inaugural YNPN Milwaukee 30 Under 30 class! We were honored to celebrate you all.

Session 2 is off and running! 🎾
Today we kicked off Half-Day Camps at Dineen Park and Brown Deer, plus our Mini Camps at Zablocki Park and Rainbow Park.
It’s going to be a hot week, but we are ready. Thanks to our amazing staff, players, and families for making Summer 2026 such a great one so far!

Today we wrapped up three incredible weeks of Summer Tennis Camps in partnership with the United Community Center at Humboldt Park!

We enjoyed spending time with a new group of sixth graders each week, introducing them to tennis while building confidence and having plenty of fun along the way.

A huge thank you to our amazing coaches, the staff at United Community Center, and everyone who helped make this partnership such a success. We’re also incredibly grateful to the USTA Midwest for their generous support in helping make this program possible.

We can’t wait to do it again!

More Than Tennis: Mathnasium

This summer, our campers are putting their problem-solving skills to work with Mathnasium!

Each week, Mathnasium is joining our Half-Day and Extended-Day Camps with fun, hands-on activities that challenge our players to think creatively, problem solve, and maybe even learn some skills while off the court.

So far, they've built with gumdrops, explored tangrams, and tackled exciting data challenges that keep their minds just as active as their bodies. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!
