Extreme Heat Warning
The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for Southeast Wisconsin, in effect from noon Monday through at least 7 p.m. Tuesday.
At this time, all Milwaukee Recreation programs will run as scheduled. Our staff will take extra precautions to keep participants safe. This will include taking frequent water breaks, spending more time in the shade, and adjusting activities as needed.
We are monitoring conditions closely with guidance from the National Weather Service. If anything changes, we will post updates here.
For information about Milwaukee Recreation’s free wading pools, cool spots, and splash pads, visit mkerec.net/playgrounds.
During times of extreme heat, please remember to drink plenty of water, limit time outdoors during peak afternoon heat, and check on neighbors, older adults, and anyone without air conditioning.
