Next up on our tournament calendar is our Ryder Cup
The Dretzka Ryder Cup will take place Sunday, September 14th. This will be a 27 hole event where individuals are paired for two nine hole matches and then play single matches to complete the day. Jim Frankie and Luke Kraft want to make the 2025 Ryder Cup as fun and exciting as possible. As of August 25th there were only 9 people signed up. The hope is to have 28 golfers for this event. .

Dretzka Park Men's Golf Club is a golf club devoted to fair and friendly golf competition.
We are a member of the Milwaukee County Public Links Association (MCPLA) and the Wisconsin State Golf Association (WSGA).
Saturday, August 16th we contest the crown jewel in our competitive calendar, the Club Championship. Various flights will be available, depending on participation. Register through our website now to take part in the one day, 27 hole event.
The next event on our Tournament calendar is Taufner Day on Sunday, August 3rd. This years event will be a Stableford scored event, points are awarded based on your net score, the lower you shoot for each hole, the more points you accumulate. The highest point earner wins the event. Sign up on our website today!
Congratulations to Scott Franke for his win in today's Flag Day competition. Scott was the only player to plant his flag on the 18th hole, approximately 140 yards from the green.
Next up on the tournament calendar is Taufner Day, Sunday August 3rd. A handicapped Modified Stableford scoring event. Register now.
Sunday, July 6th is the date for our next event, the highly popular Flag Day! You get a flag with a number based on your handicap, plant your flag where that shot lands, and whoever plants their flag deepest into the golf course wins. Typically the winner plants their flag somewhere on 18, or around the green on 17. Considered by all to be the most fun event we host. Sign up today to participate.
Schroeder Day (Member's Guest Event)
Thanks to all the members and guests who participated in the Members/guest event on June 8th. We had 24 golfers (12 members/12 guests) who enjoyed a great morning of golf. The committee (Ed Sherard, Darrell Woods, and Dave Labiniski) did a great job of making it a fun event with a different format than normally played. Dave also did an amazing job as usual being the host whereby all enjoyed a great time. He provided a great gift item, set up continental breakfast, lunch after the round and facilitated the prize ceremony after the round. Thanks Ed, Dave and Darrell for this event. The top three teams in the event were:
1st place - Luke Kraft/Bob Schuerman @ -7
2nd place - Jim Franke/Pete Reichel @ -7
3rd place - Scott Franke/Seth Franke @ -7
Note: A tie breaker process was used to determine the places due to a three way tie
Gallet Day was contested on May 17th, under less that ideal weather conditions. Chilly and windy with the occasional light rain and mist over the front nine. Still, good golf was played in our 2 Man Net Best Ball event. The team of Pete Paczesny and Larry Lawrenz shot a spectacular 67 to win this event. Congratulations, Pete and Larry!

Gallet Day – Saturday May 17th
Our first tournament event of 2025 is coming up fast. Please sign up for Gallet Day on our website. (www.dretzkaparkmensclub.com) for this fun event. The format will be two-man best ball with teams selected by a blind draw. The blind draw will take place on Wednesday May 14th. Tee times will be posted on the website on Thursday May 15th. The entry fee for this event is $15. Additional information on scoring method, tees to be played, prizes, etc. can be found on the website.
