Our hearts are with Mary Mudlaff on the passing of Jerry Mudlaff.
Mary & Jerry have been longtime Members of the Italian Community Center, and Jerry has been a major player on the Monday Night Bocce League and Festa Italiana Bocce tournaments

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jerome Henry Mudlaff, lovingly known as Jerry, was born on February 23, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, laughter, and a strong commitment to community and family. His family will forever remember the joy he brought into their lives.

Married to his beloved wife, Mary (nee Leick), for an incredible 63 years, they nurtured a family that became Jerry's proudest accomplishment. He is survived by his children: Marie (Tim) Norgal, Jon (Sandy Sell), Jim (Amy), Karen (Kevin) Martens, and Joe (Amy); his 19 grandchildren: Trevor (Dana) Norgal, Kelsey (Austin) Braska, Jared (Emily) Norgal, Leah Norgal, Justin Mudlaff, Nick (Abby) Mudlaff, Jon Jr. (Kennedy) Mudlaff, Chris (Danielle) Mudlaff, Jacob (Brianna) Mudlaff, Amanda (Ben) Burki, Samantha Mudlaff, Josh (Lindsey) Martens, Marissa Martens, Zach Martens, Dan Martens, Gabe Martens, Lauren Mudlaff, Dominic Mudlaff, and Ella Mudlaff; his nine great-grandchildren (with more on the way): Zoe, Louie, Skylar, Raelyn, Landon, Isabelle, Olivia, Cameron, and Jon Luke. He is further survived by his dear brother, Jim (Ruta) Mudlaff, along with nieces, nephews, extended family, his AFS daughter and many close friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Helen Mudlaff.

Jerry graduated from Pulaski High School in 1958. He continued his education at MATC, where he earned a degree in commercial art before beginning a career in commercial signage and point-of-sale displays.

Jerry, known for his quick wit and warm, welcoming presence, was cherished for his infectious smile and loving spirit. He took great joy in hosting family gatherings, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. His favorite pastimes included memorable fishing trips to Canada, hunting adventures, playing bocce at the Italian Community Center, and proudly watching his grandchildren in their many activities.

Jerry was deeply involved in his community, serving as a Scout leader and holding leadership roles within the Whitnall PTA, the Whitnall AFS Chapter, the Hales Corners Lions Club, and the Wagon Wheel Investment Club.

A devote Catholic, Jerry dedicated his adult life to serving the St. Mary Catholic Faith Community. He served on the parish council, chaired the church festival, coordinated Friday Fish Frys, sponsored RCIA candidates, ministered in hospitality, and led the St. Mary’s Young at Heart Club as its president.

Visitation for Jerry will be held on December 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Saint Mary’s Catholic Faith Community, 9520 W. Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners, WI 53130.

As we reflect on Jerry’s life, we honor a man whose devotion to family and friends forged bonds that will endure well beyond his passing. His generous spirit, unwavering kindness, and zest for life will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
