Today, we mark 25 years since the September 11th attacks. The terrorist attacks took the lives of CWA, NABET-CWA, and AFA-CWA members. We honor the CWA airline workers, telecom workers, nurses, 911 operators, traffic enforcement agents and supervisors, public sector members, broadcast engineers and news crews, journalists and media workers, volunteers, and all of those who played a crucial role in responding to this tragedy and rebuilding our country.

With respect and sorrow, we post this list of CWA members who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and we also mourn the loss of our CWA members who have died since that day as a result of 9/11-related illnesses.

means more than wearing red. The 2026 Michigan Fighting Oligarchy crew came together to learn from one another about what oligarchies are, how they form, and the threat concentrated power poses not just to workers, but to all of us.

They say those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Our activists left having both learned AND taught one another, with a better understanding of how we meet that threat: together. Because only together do we build the power to change what comes next.

MONDAY IS LABOR DAY!!!

Show your union pride and join with fellow members and their families at the annual Milwaukee Labor Day Parade and Laborfest downtown. CWA members and their family participating in the parade will receive a t-shirt. Local 4603 will be staging for the parade on 4th street south of Michigan Ave. Plan to arrive early to park near the Summerfest grounds and take the shuttle to the staging area.
