Kayak Safety Series: Paddles 🚣♀️
Hold your paddle with both hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart and make sure the longer edge of the blade is facing up. Use smooth, even strokes on each side of the kayak to help steer and stay balanced on the water.

Kayak Safety Series: Lifejackets 🦺
A properly fitted life jacket should feel snug without restricting movement. Make sure all buckles are fastened, straps are tightened, and the jacket does not ride up over your chin or ears when lifted at the shoulders.
