Aquatennial returns to Minneapolis this summer with milk cartons, sand castles ... and snowballs The Aquatennial appeared to be canceled until a new group stepped in to save it. “No way we were letting this die,” one organizer said.

The first milk carton boat races of the year are scheduled for May 27 at Valleyfair, with boats like these from last year!

We're here in Eden Prairie for the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society's Solar Boat Race! Lots of great boats today!

Hey, a boat race on a Minneapolis lake, but with something less likely to float than milk cartons? It's the ASCE Concrete Canoe Competition, today on Lake Hiawatha beach. 12 colleges were set to compete, including the U of M, St. Thomas, Mankato, Wisconsin and more! They waited out the rain and hail, but lightning finally cancelled the race. Such a bummer!
We know of another boat race this summer 😀 . . . If they can build one out of concrete, they can make one of milk cartons!
