Day 3 & the closing of our 2026 Community Trainings. 🖤

We left this weekend with so much gratitude for every participant who joined us on this journey. Thank you for the ways you showed up, shared, listened, challenged, cared, and made room for one another. Our gratitude is unwavering.

We closed our final day with safety planning, led by Jo and Signe, followed by a closing ceremony held by Ar’Tesha. Together, we made space to reflect on what we’re carrying forward - the teachings from the trainings, the lessons we’ve learned from one another, and the commitments we’re making to ourselves and our communities.

What we build together doesn’t end when we leave the space. It lives in how we continue to show up for each other, how we practice what we’ve learned, and how we keep imagining what’s possible. We’re leaving with full hearts, new commitments, and so much to carry forward.

Day 2 of the Community Trainings ! 💜🍂

Deep sharing and listening was a focal point. We explored Radical Care and Mental Health First Aid with Rox in the morning, then Cop and ICE watch with Jason in the afternoon. The vulnerability of these conversations reminds us of the power in community, change, and possibilities.

We are so grateful for the incredible cohort that we shared this space with - thank you for your brilliance!💜✨

🎉 Day 1 of the 2026 Community Trainings is COMPLETE! We are unbelievably thrilled to be at camp with this amazing cohort of people.

Day 1 was all about PODS and DE-ESCALATION, exploring how we show up for ourselves and others in community.

We are so grateful and excited to be here! We learned a lot and we can feel community being build before our own eyes! Stay tuned for our Day 2 and 3 updates ✨

We’re offering stipends for childcare, meals will be provided, and carpool efforts are available to help make participation more accessible for those who have been historically targeted by the state.

Join REP for our Black August celebration on Saturday, August 29th at First Universalist Church (3400 DuPont Ave S Minneapolis, MN 55408). We will have a day of offerings grounded in our core value of Black love & liberation. This event will be a day of community gathering rooted in joy, collective care, creativity, and abolitionist imagination.💜⭐️🪻

Check out the offerings of the afternoon!
• FILM SCREENING & DISCUSSION (12-2 PM): Who killed Wharlest Jackson Sr.? In investigating the unsolved 1967 murder of a local NAACP leader, American Reckoning reveals an untold story of the civil rights movement and Black resistance. This film screening will be followed by a discussion about Black organizing facilitated by The New Justice Project MN.
• HEALING JUSTICE STUDIO (2-3:30 PM): Join REP trainers Destiny and Imagine Joy in a healing justice studio! This experience will empower individuals to think and talk about the importance of radical self-care. The offerings include guided conversations, breathwork, somatic grounding, and creative movement. No prior experience is required.
• LUNCH & DOUBLE DUTCH (3:30-6 PM): We will close out the day with a shared meal in the cafeteria and then Double Dutch outside, hosted by Rondo Double Dutch with music by a local DJ.
