✨Registration for REP’s 2026 Community Training Info Sessions is now open!
This training was first envisioned in 2020 during the Twin Cities uprising following the murder of George Floyd. What began as a practice for preparing community members to respond through REP’s community hotline has grown into a space for building the skills, relationships, and collective capacity needed to turn toward one another in moments of crisis, conflict, and uncertainty.
This October 15-18th, REP is hosting our annual community training. This year we will gather for a 3-day immersive training in Annandale, MN to practice de-escalation, community safety, mental health crisis response, and deeper ways of showing up for our neighbors.
Attending an info session is required to receive a training application. Join us to learn more about the training, meet the organizers, and ask any questions before applying.

This space is for you if you are...
• curious about movements that rally behind the term “abolition”
• if you are newer to movement spaces and want to strengthen your political education, and/or
• if you are interested in abolition but unsure what that means in practice.
“Abolition is not absence, it is presence. What the world will become already exists in fragments and pieces, experiments and possibilities. So those who feel in their gut deep anxiety that abolition means knock it all down, scorch the earth and start something new, let that go. Abolition is building the future from the present, in all of the ways we can.” - Ruth Wilson Gilmore 💜🌻✨

🔮”Without new visions, we don’t know what to build, only what to knock down. We not only end up confused, rudderless, and cynical, but we forget that making a revolution is not a series of clever maneuvers and tactics, but a process that can and must transform us.”
—Robin D. G. Kelly
