Welcome to Day 2 of Palarong Pangmasa 2025

On to the afternoon slate of games.

In the Open A matchup between Minnesota Heat and Lechon, Minnesota Heat came out victorious in overtime against an upstart Lechon squad, 56-46. Lorence Dela Cruz with relentless rim pressure finishing with 20 points, Tait Nelson pitched in with 11 in the win. Lechon was led by Alwyn Malinis’ 18 pts.

Open B starts division play with 4-Star Town beating Win Minnesota, 66-49. Christian Orbito with another hot shooting game hitting 5 3s to finish with 18 pts in the win.

Out of town squad, Bolingbrook holds off a late Minnesota Heat run to win, 50-45. Bolingbrook with an evenly distributed scoring output. Nate Johnson and Jason Garcia each with 11 pts to lead Bolingbrook.

Today’s highest scoring output came from Will Cachuela of Show Pow in their 67-56 win vs Midwest Ballers. Will’s 28 points is the current weekend high.

In the final game of the day, Bolingbrook pulled away early in the 2nd half against Lechon en route to a convincing 96-56 win. Xander Estacio with an impressive 23 points.

Win Minnesota outlasted Tropa Ilonggo, 45-42 to start off the day. Kendrick Visperas led all scorers with 14 pts.

In the 2nd game, 4-Star Town received a hot scoring performance from Christian Orbito en route to a 60-52 win over Furious Lechon. Orbito with 19 pts for 4-Star.

Show Pow was all over Tropa Ilonggo, 70-26. Marco Asuncion led the way with 13 pts.

In the final showcase game, Furious Lechon avenged their first game loss by beating Midwest Ballers, 48-31. JR Ramirez scored 20 pts (4 3s) in the game.

Day 1 Magigiting Division top performers ‼️

Lechon was led by JR Ramirez’s 16 points (4 3s) in their opener vs. Filipino Village. Teammate Jerrica Cabello pitched in 15 pts. Meanwhile, Filipino Village got a strong scoring performance from Rhyan Loriezo with 24 pts.

Heat Bulaga completed their 20-pt comeback vs. Tropa Ilonggo. Gege Castillo spearheaded their comeback efforts with 22 points (4 3s in 2nd half). Jonathan Molanida paced Tropa Ilonggo with 19 pts.

JR Ramirez once again led Lechon’s scoring output with 17 pts against Tropa Ilonggo. Carlo Sendrijas with 16 pts.

In the final game of the day, Hubert Tuazon saved his best performance for last. He scored 18 points (all from 3s) to help Heat Bulaga finish the day 2-0.
