It's been over a week and BCA still has not updated their Permit to Carry Instructor database. We have reached out to BCA and have been unable to get any answers.

QSI was re-certified by BCA in July. We have copies of our re-certification letter available for any of our students who need it to apply for a Permit.

We are looking at options available for recourse on this. If you have any problems applying for your permit, please give us a call and we'll do what we can to assist you.

It appears that there was an error at the BCA and the Permit to Carry Instructor website has not been updated since at least July. QSI, despite being renewed in July, is still showing as "Inactive."

We have contacted the BCA to have this fixed. Unfortunately, they told us the website is "under construction" and have no idea when it will be done.

In the meantime, if you wish to apply with one of our certificates, let us know and we can send you a copy of our BCA approval letter. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED

We often say we shouldn't tolerate reckless and dangerous gun handling by others because we are afraid of hurting their feelings. This is a good example why.

We continually teach (and insist upon) ALWAYS handling your fi***rm in a careful and responsible manner. Unfortunately that other guy failed to do that.

Never point a gun at anything you don't intend to kill, destroy, or pay for.

Don't put your finger into the trigger guard until you're on target and have decided to fire. Never press a trigger casually.

After you load your gun, you should holster it immediately. Don't leave it sitting somewhere that a careless and irresponsible person can access it.

If you need to top it off, you can do that while keeping the gun in the holster.

Hope the guy pulls through.

One of our Emergency Trauma Care course alums found themselves at the scene of a bad motorcycle accident on Friday night.

The rider had lost control on a curve and impacted with the guardrail. Among other injuries were serious, life-threatening bleeding from his arm, which had been mangled in the crash.

Our student applied a tourniquet, which controlled the bleeding, and monitored the rider until police arrived and took over the scene.

The rider was taken to the hospital where they are being treated for multiple injuries. His arm had to be amputated and he needed a blood transfusion. He is currently in ICU.

He will have a long road ahead, but there is little doubt that if it had not been for the quick actions of our student, they would have died at the scene.

Well done!
