Hey Millers, thanks for giving it your all on a hot, steamy Minnesota evening (97 degrees at game time)! And thanks to everyone for a great season, especially Todd, Steve, Garrett, Seth, Lee, Charles, and my amazing Team Manager (and beautiful wife) Katy. I feel very privileged to have worked with you all and to have been the Head Coach for eleven great kids. See you tomorrow at Target Field and on Saturday at our banquet. And maybe next year if MYBA asks me to coach again. Until then...

Major League Baseball has offered the Metro Baseball League a unique and special opportunity for Tuesday morning, July 17 between 9and 11am at Target Field. The event is free and they would like the coaches to sign up their teams and let them know how many players will be attending. The event is open to the first 200 players that register with them. It will include meeting 1 or 2 Twins players, autographs, and a tour of the Twins Club House.

I have let the Twins know that we would like to attend, but I need to know how many players want to go ASAP.

Steph beat me to my posting this morning, but I do want to say that I am very proud of how we finished our regular season with a huge win (by 12 runs until the Mercy Rule came in to play) last evening. All the players were spectacular, and I am sure you will see that same starting lineup in play for the playoffs.

Our game for tomorrow night has been cancelled. I am working with the other coach to reschedule. I will keep you posted.

Practice cancelled for Monday. Too hot even for this Georgia boy. Have a great 4th!

Only three games left, and they are all at home. Did I really plan it that well?

Great win tonight, Millers! I am especially proud of my nine year olds and the way they knocked the cover off the ball.

And I just found out that there will only be nine players available for today's game. So hopefully, everyone else can make it. :)
