We are calling on our community to support the sister of Mariah Samuels. Due to the ongoing escalation of ICE in the city, she and her partner do not have access to their regular source of income. On top of the grief of losing her sister in September and having to fight for justice, she is the mother of a five month old baby, and they just transitioned out of homelessness.

Our Hispanic Community in Minneapolis has been confronted with profound hostility and stress in the past month. This has caused income loss and family separation, which is resulting in housing instability. Our organization is sponsoring a mutual aid campaign to support families' urgent needs for rent payments due on January 1. Donations to this campaign are tax‑deductible as a contribution to Colectiva Bilingue which is a 501(c)(3) organization.

We encourage you to specify “rent support” with your donation so we can ensure we meet our goals of equity to those with the greatest needs across our network.
