🎄 Trees operating bicycles.
✨ Unlicensed festive illumination.

All violations have been approved.

A Santa suit. A bicycle. A bunch of people you haven’t met yet.

That’s a good antidote to staying home and doomscrolling. 🎅🚲

Join Santa Cycle Rampage for a day of ridiculous costumes, friendly faces, local craft b**r, and spreading cheer on two wheels. Come with friends or come solo, there’s room for you in this merry little uprising against the dying of the light.

The Loop Minneapolis is closing. This one hurts.

We’ve started the Santa Rampage there since 2018. Before that, we tried Longfellow Grill, the CC Club, Town Hall Brewery, and the Freehouse. The Loop was the first place that really felt like home. We felt welcome. We could be our ridiculous selves.

There’s something about the North Loop in December. You show up in a Santa suit, see other Santas walking their bicycles down the sidewalk, and there’s magic in the air. You feel so optimistic. Inside, The Loop was bright and happy and easygoing. Room to gather around the bar. Huge breakfasts to fuel a day of pedaling.

We were hooked.

We might not know the route, but we always knew how the day began: “First Saturday in December. 10 AM. The Loop Minneapolis.”

So yeah, it sucks. For us, and especially for the people who made that place what it was. Thanks for making room for us, year after year.

We’re looking at new starting places in the North Loop and will let you know when it’s squared away. December 5 is still on.

It’s the end of an era. We’ll miss our home.

Somebody buy this! It’s a giant Rudolph, and I can think of a perfectly awesome place to put him. On the front of a bicycle!

Did you know tomorrow 200+ rides across the world are riding in memory of Alex Pretti? All started by our local bike shop Angry Catfish Bicycle Shop and Coffee Bar. See you there!

With our friends from Joyful Riders Club , a few of our Twin Cities staff members will be doing a Ride-to-the-Ride from Brackett Park to Washburn Fair Oaks Park.

Meet us at Brackett starting at about noon, we're planning to bring some pastries from a local immigrant owned bakery, as well as coffee.

At 12:30 we'll ride together to the main ride event.

Alex was one of us, could’ve been any of us, so as we mourn, all of us can come together in unity to remember Alex for what he was. A kind and caring soul put on this earth to be the light for others.

Although his light has been extinguished by this violent regime, it hasn’t been lost. If anything, those sparks fell and ignited something in us that’s been hiding all along. We are stronger together, and they can’t take us all.

We hope to you will be joining us in this international solidarity ride.
