Last week, a cohort of our 10U and 12U teams got to skate during the first intermission at the Game 3 of the Minnesota Frost vs. Montreal Victoire series.

Girls hockey is currently one of the fast growing youth sports, thanks in part to incredible examples like the Frost. We're so glad to have such fantastic role models and opportunities for our skaters right in our own backyard!

Our 8U team had the amazing opportunity to skate in between periods at the championship game on Saturday between and

The 5 minutes that the kids took the ice were fun.

But what was more amazing to me, as a mom trying to raise an 8-year-old, was watching this team of girls be inspired by the college skaters.

They looked out onto the ice and saw their future selves.

And wow, that's powerful.

Women's hockey is an incredible sport, and these college teams are paving the way for our skaters 🏒

Thanks for your presence, grace, and being an inspiration to young hockey girls everywhere. The game might not have gone your way but you still have our hearts. I hope you heard all the cheers from our ladies in blue!

We'll plan to have cocoa and treats after the skate for the kids. Bring a friend and join us!

Hockey isn't just a sport; it's a community.

We recently had a scheduling snafu, and the referees missed a game for our 12U team against River Falls. Luckily our friends, the Minnesota Mullets, were on the ice right before us, and Logan graciously offered to stay at the rink to ref our game. He did an amazing job and even gave out a game puck afterwards!

The Mullies' next home game is this Thursday, January 15th at 7pm at Augsburg Arena. Let's pack the stands and cheer them on!
