IN MEMORIAM ~ JAY ALAN LARSON
July 12, 1963 - October 4, 2024

We are saddened at the passing of Jay Larson, a well-loved MN dance professional, former US and North American 9-Dance Champion, cofounder of Beyond Ballroom Dance Company, and long-time Heart of Dance volunteer. Jay visited many classrooms as a professional “dance buddy,” imparting his great love and knowledge of partner dance to the next generation. He also judged our Colors of the Rainbow Team Match many times over the years. (See him on the left in the photos below.)

Jay’s spirit lives on in the many dancers’ lives he touched in his 40 years of teaching - he will be greatly missed!

The end of the year is a time for reflection and giving. As you look back on this past year, we hope you’ll consider supporting Heart of Dance and our students, young and young at heart.

A gift today will help create opportunities for students to experience the physical, emotional, and mental benefits of partner dance. This holiday season, we're excited to announce a 2-1 match challenge up to $25,000 thanks to a generous gift from the Bob & Kathie Goodale Legacy Foundation - this means any donation made during December will be tripled in value!!
