Hello Hawks!

We had an incredible season this 2025 bowling year. I am extremely proud with everyone’s performance through the season as well as in districts. I want to give a special thank you to our seniors Chris Caponi and Dylan Connolly. We will miss you greatly next year. You were an asset to our team and I wish you both the best with your future both on and off the lanes. The boys team had incredible improvement this year. They learned new bowling technique, lane knowledge, and more. They improved tremendously in such a short time. Same can be said for the girls. Even with not having a full team, every girl brought their A game this year and had incredible successes individually. Thank you to all bowlers and parents for this amazing season, and I can’t wait to continue our Lake Minneola Hawk legacy in to next year! Keep practicing and working hard and we’ll continue to achieve greatness!

Happy Sunday hawks from Coach Matt. We had an incredible season this year both the boys and girls! We’ve come so far in such a short time and I’m sad it’s over so quick. Luckily we have one last event to look forward to…

Districts will be held on October 21st for the boys, and October 22nd for the girls. Doors will open for the athletes at 8:00, so be prepared to show up early between 7:00-8:00 to meet up and get ready for the competition! Parents and spectators will need to purchase their tickets online ahead of time on Lake Minneola High School’s GoFan.co page attached below.

We will be having a mandatory practice at lakeside on October 20th at 3:00 to prepare for districts. I look forward to seeing you all there. Go hawks!

It was another great day of bowling at Leesburg AMF Hawks! Our boys bowling team beat The Villages at their home lanes 3-1. Chris Caponi lead the charge with a high game of 199, and during team bakers the team shot a 246! The girls unfortunately suffered defeat during their first time at AMF Leesburg, but they still put up great numbers! Elizabeth Parent shot a high game of 170 to keep the pressure on The Villages. Great bowling Hawks!

Congrats to our Seniors Dylan and Christopher for a special presentation at the end of practice yesterday. We will miss you next year and hope you continue your amazing bowling skills.
Also shout out to coach Matt on National Coaches Day yesterday. We are grateful for you!

Reminder:

It was another great day of bowling hawk family! The boys won 3-0 with Chris Caponi leading the charge with a high game of 215.

The girls had a close neck to neck bout but ended up losing 0-3. Elizabeth Parent lead the girls with an incredible new high game of 199! Followed by a 154 for her new high 2 game series of 353. Incredible bowling hawks keep it up!

Congratulations to the boys team for the ‘Sweep’ 3-0. We also got this picture of them doing “L M” lol.

We had another great day of bowling at Lakeside Lanes in Tavares where we went against Eustis High School and defeated them 3-0. In the first game Chris Caponi shot a convincing 223 game, followed by Jayson shooting a 223 game in the second game which is his new high score! And let’s not forget Elizabeth Parent taking charge of the girls team. Overall amazing bowling from the team and keep up the great work Hawks!

Congratulations to the boys Lake Minneola Bowling Team’s win over Umatilla High School earlier today beating them 3-1. Lead by Chris Caponi with a high game of 194, the boys achieved their second win of the season currently putting them at 2-2 on the season. The girls team suffered a hard-fought defeat but went down fighting and learning along the way. Elizabeth Parent shot a 114 game and helped push her teamates over the finish line. Overall great job from our bowling hawks!
