The Marian girls soccer team moves up to Class 3A this fall as the IHSAA announced sectional assignments for six sports for the next two years. See link below ⬇️

Go Knights! We can’t wait to compete in 3A!

The IHSAA announced sectional realignments in football, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer and volleyball today.

Here are some of the highlights for our area.

The biggest changes occurred in football. In 6A, Elkhart and Penn are now back in the same sectional, along with Portage and Valparaiso.

In 5A, Concord, Goshen, LaPorte and Adams comprise one sectional. Warsaw was grouped with Fort Wayne schools Snider, South and Wayne. Michigan City is now in a sectional with Chesterton, Hammond Central and Munster.

in 4A, Wawasee is now part of the Fort Wayne area sectional, replaced locally by Culver Academies, moving up from 3A.

In 3A football, Tippecanoe Valley moves into an area sectional that also includes Fairfield, Glenn, Jimtown, Marian, SB Washington and West Noble.

Knox has dropped to 2A, where they join LaVille in a sectional with primarily "region" teams. Bremen, Lakeland and Rochester are in a sectional that stretches from the Ohio line to Wabash.

Almost all of our 1A teams are in the same sectional except for Caston, who gets grouped with teams such as North Miami, Pioneer, etc.

As far as boys and girls hoops, there weren't many changes. South Central joins the 2A field that played at LaVille last year. SB Washington's girls drop back down to 3A (end of success factor) with the Marian field.

In boys soccer, Marian drops back down to 2A, while New Prairie moves up to 3A. Manchester drops from 2A into the 1A Argos sectional.

There were much bigger moves in girls soccer. Marian moves up to 3A and joins the South Bend sectional. Penn and Mishawaka now slide over to the Goshen Sectional and Warsaw is sent to the Fort Wayne area,''

In 2A, Plymouth and NorthWood are now part of the South Bend sectional, while Wawasee joins Lakeland, West Noble and a number of Fort Wayne area schools.

Congrats MGS squad on being ethical and getting the Gold Status! Only 1 yellow card!

United Soccer Coaches has announced the 2025 High School Fall Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award recipients. In all, 69 boys and girls teams received either the Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze version of the award.

Guess we were good and not naughty this year as🎅left a 🎁 at Marian! Merry Christmas!!!!

We are humbled and honored by the recognition from the Mishawaka City Council and for today to be Marian Girls Soccer Day!!!! We are proud to represent and bring home the 🏆 to the Princess City! Thank you Mishawaka City Council and Mayor Wood!

Congrats Sydney Reed on signing with University of St. Francis! We are so excited to see you continue your ⚽️ and Academic journey!

Syd will be playing under the tutelage of former Marian head coach and National Champ at ND, Ken Nuber!
