Trail: Rattlesnake Fence-line Trail Loop

Location Detail: Headed out from the trailhead to Spring and Curry Gulch trails. At intersection of Stuart Peak trail descended the Fence-line, Sawmill Gulch, and Ewok trails.
Conditions: Hero dirt
Ride Quality: 5/5

Notes:
This classic trail loop was in prime condition. It was hardpacked and smooth going up with flowing loose-corners and washboard sections on descent.

Hazards:
Use caution on the loose wash board sections going down. Only one bear was spotted near Ewok section

Trail: Rattlesnake Wilderness Boundary

Location Detail: Biked from town along Rattlesnake Creek to the Rattlesnake Recreation Area Trailhead. Headed up the corridor trail past Franklin Bridge, then climbed the remainder of the route to the top. Returned on the same trail for an out and back.
Conditions: Dry
Ride Quality: 4/5

Notes:
Sunny conditions with temps in the low 80s. Bring extra water in the heat.

Hazards:
The trail was rocky and rough towards the top. There were several wet soggy sections. No bears or mountain lions were spotted.

Trail: Deer Creek, Southside Braxton and Larchcamp Trails

Location Detail: Biked from town starting on Kim Williams trail then ascended Deer Creek Sneak to Sam Braxton area. Climbed to the top for a free flowing descent on the Southside Braxton and Larchcamp trails. Zoomed down Pattee Canyon Road and back into town to complete the loop.
Conditions: Hero dirt

Ride Quality: 5/5

Notes:
Beautiful summer evening with temps in upper 70s. All trails were clear and dry.

Hazards:
No mountain lions or bears were spotted. No deadfall across trails was encountered

June 23, 2026

Trail: House of Sky Trail

Location Detail: Biked from town up Pattee Canyon, through South section of Braxton to upper Deer Creek road to the House of Sky Trailhead. Climbed up trail to Mitten Mountain and around Dean Stone section. Rapidly descended HWH, Woodsy, and Barmeyer trails and back to town.

Conditions: Hero dirt

Ride Quality: 5/5

Notes: Temps were in the upper 70s and low 80s. The wild flowers were in peak bloom.

Hazards: Typical rocky rugged trail on Mitten Mountain section. No major obstructions were encountered. Few hikers were on the trails today. No bears were spotted

Trail: Rattlesnake Corridor to Franklin Bridge
Location Detail: Started at the Rattlesnake main trailhead and rode to Franklin Bridge and back. Rattlesnake creek is roaring…
Conditions: Mostly dry, rocky, and muddy puddles
Ride Quality: 4/5

Notes:
The corridor trail to Franklin Bridge is mostly dry with patches of wet dirt and muddy puddles.

Hazards:
A black bear crossed our path on our descent back to the main trailhead

Weather is lookin' primo for a group ride this week!

Come meet us at Marshall Mtn this Thursday at 6:30pm. We'll head up Izzy Up at a leisurely pace, hit the jump line for a little bit, and then head down Moose and Mission to Mars.

Trail: Jumbo Saddle Loop
Location Detail:
Conditions: Wet
Ride Quality: 5/5

Notes:
Biked from town along Kim Williams trail to the Marshall Mountain Road, then climbed the Marshall grade double track to the Saddle. Descended down SoM Trail to Rattlesnake Creek Trail and back to town.

Hazards:
Thunder, rain, and lightning surrounded us the whole evening, but arrived safely back home.
