Ready to climb a little higher?

Take your climbing beyond a single pitch and into the Wasatch with Red River Adventures.

Our multi-pitch climbing days are built around your goals. Climb a route you’ve had your eye on, learn the skills to move confidently through multi-pitch terrain, or simply spend the day climbing higher.

Choose from classic routes ranging from 200 to 800 feet in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons and Rock Canyon, with objectives tailored to your experience and the conditions.

Want to learn new tools and techniques? Our guides are some of the best in business and love to share what they know.

Fall is off to a strong start, and Off-Width Camp was as fun and brutal as ever!
Off-Width Camp is about more than stuffing yourself into cracks and hoping for the best.
Led by Mary Catherine Eden, our three-day camp is all about dialing in technique, tackling climbs that feel way harder than they should, getting a little beat up, and learning a ton along the way.
But a huge part of what makes camp special is the people. Good climbing, good laughs, hard days, and a crew that’s just as stoked to be there as you are.
Hard climbs, tired bodies, and a pretty damn good community.
Spring Crack Camp dates are now open for booking!

Black Diamond Infinity Cord

I was cleaning out my bag today after a few days of varied activity. Personal climbing, guiding, and new routing have all been on the menu, and I’ve been adding to what I carry rather than resetting between outings.

I ended up with all five of these Black Diamond Infinity Cords in my bag, and it got me wondering. Is carrying all five of these is better one 7mm cordelette?

I actually weighed the two, and all five Infinity Cords together came in 6 grams lighter than the single 7 mm cordelette! Lighter and smaller is a win in my book.

These things have been great. They’re tough as nails, and very little wear is apparent, even on the oldest ones. They untie like a dream after being heavily loaded, they’re incredibly light, and they pack down to almost nothing.

Thanks, BD!

Two is better than one!
Learn from our guides in the most comprehensive and hands-on way with Red River Adventures’ Backcountry Mentorship Program.
Instead of taking everything one course at a time, our mentorship combines essential skills from Rescue, Rec Level 1, and Rec Level 2 into one comprehensive course. You’ll spend time in the mountains, learning through a variety of conditions and terrain while building skills in avalanche awareness, rescue, terrain selection, tour planning, decision-making, and leadership.
This is about more than learning the information. It’s about putting it into practice, asking questions, making decisions, and gaining the experience to become a more confident and capable backcountry skier or rider.
With small groups and guidance from experienced RRA instructors, you’ll have the time and space to learn, practice, and progress.
6 days. One comprehensive program. A whole lot more experience.

Every skier and rider should experience Chamonix at least once. 🇫🇷🏔️
Chamonix is about as good as it gets, with incredible terrain, massive alpine views, and the Mont Blanc massif the backdrop to it all. From the moment you step onto the Aiguille du Midi cable car, rising from Chamonix to 12,605 feet in just 30 minutes, you’re looking at a completely different kind of ski experience.
Home to “the most beautiful ski descent in the world,” the Vallée Blanche is the kind of descent you don’t forget. Nearly 10,000 feet of skiing through the high alpine, surrounded by glaciers and some of the most iconic peaks in the Alps.
And skiing is only part of it. Spend the week with IFMGA mountain guides, stay overnight in a mountain hut, experience Chamonix’s legendary après-ski, and come back to the Héliopic Hôtel & Spa after big days in the mountains.
5 days. 6 nights. Chamonix, France.
A beautiful trip designed for Intermediate to advanced skiers and riders, if the Alps have been on your list, this is the trip.
