Update: The two teams playing in the first ever Squad Golf league will be the Mobile Cutters versus the Eastern Shore Irons. Players do not have to reside in these locales but rather have an allegiance to the team and team name. We're looking at early Fall for the first game in Mobile, with a meet and practice to occur before the first game. Interested potential players can visit www.squadgolf.com.

Update: Squad Golf (TM) is looking for 16 players in this golf-putting game event cuerrently set to launch in Mobile, AL later this year. Also needed: umpires and cheerleaders. Players must be able to have fun on the field, even dance a little. Yes, you read that right. There is no charge or fees to play in the inaugural game. Currently, the first game is planned at Langan Park, Mobile, AL. Please visit www.squadgolf.com for try-out details, game description and rules. You do not have to be a seasoned or pro golfer to play, but you should be able to putt a golf ball. There will be try-outs for this event and players will be selected based on their location (in or near Mobile,) availability (to attend a few practice games and the event itself later this year,) personality (you do not have to have a bubblng personality but you should be able to have fun on the playing field.) SQUAD GOLF (TM) Squad Golf™ is a new team-based sport played on a football-sized field (360 ft x 90 ft), combining competitive putting, strategy, and live entertainment. Based in Mobile, Alabama, Squad Golf features teams like the Mobile Cutters and Mobile Irons competing in fast-paced matches.

You do not have to be a professional golfer to apply to play either on the Mobile Cutters or the Mobile Irons. And there is no fee to apply and no fee to play, although if you are selected you may incur some personal costs for equipment which you will handle on your own. Do you get paid? Let's just say not yet, but there is potential in the future. This is a new venture with a promising future. We're taking one step at a time.
