The best hitters don’t just take more swings. They learn from every swing.

Using OnForm video analysis, we compared this hitter’s first round to his second and identified the adjustment he needed to make.

The focus: learning to turn behind the yellow line and arrive in a stronger launch position.

By landing closer to a 60/40 back-leg position, he gave himself more space and freedom to turn his backside through the ball. The result was a more connected, efficient move from load to contact.

This is where the deep work happens.

Video allows us to slow the swing down, identify what’s really happening and make purposeful adjustments in the cage. We’re not guessing. We’re giving hitters the information they need to understand their swing and make adjustments on their own.

Want to learn what’s holding your swing back? DM me “BREAKDOWN” and send 2–3 swing videos. Let’s get to work.

If you’re guessing at the plate, you’re already behind.

Day one with our new hitter, a junior in high school, started with a full evaluation to identify what was really holding him back.

He came in very front-side dominant, so our biggest emphasis was teaching him how to use his back half.

Through short-bat drills and connection work, he began learning how to turn deeper, move quicker behind the ball, and create a more connected swing.

No random drills. No guessing. We got film, identified the problem, and built the plan around what he needed.

Are you tired of guessing? Comment “SWING” below and let’s get started.

Everybody wants the outcome.

College baseball. A scholarship. More playing time. More success.

But are you willing to become the player those outcomes require?

The early mornings.
The extra swings.
The extra lift.
The throwing.
The two-a-days.
The work nobody is making you do.

Stop being obsessed with where you want to go and become obsessed with who you need to become to get there.

The outcome is earned in the become.

More than hitters. More than training. This is family. ❤️

Last night, we closed out our final group of college hitters before they headed back to campus. We’re proud of the work they put in this summer, but even more proud of the young men and women they continue to become.

Our prayer for them:

God, watch over these hitters as they return to campus. Keep Your hands upon them, protect them, and keep them healthy. Give them strength through every challenge and confidence in the work they’ve put in.

Keep them humble in success and faithful through every trial. May the way they prepare, compete, lead, and handle adversity always glorify You. Surround them with the right coaches, teammates, mentors, and friends, and remind them that their identity is always greater than their performance.

In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏

They may be leaving our cages, but the coaching and relationships don’t stop. Through remote training, we can continue analyzing video, making adjustments, and mentoring them throughout the season, no matter how far away they are.

College hitters, you don’t have to navigate the season alone. If you’re looking for a coach and mentor to help guide you, send me a DM to learn more about remote training.

The summer work is finished. Now it’s time to trust it, compete, and make this season count. 📈

Some players help build a program. These four helped define what ours stands for.

Before they head off to college, we had the opportunity to take them out for one more round together ⛳️ . They’ve been with Heisler Hitting since they were 11 years old and have played an instrumental role in building the foundation of our program.

They set the standard. Their work ethic, character, commitment, and love for the game are a big reason so many hitters have wanted to become part of what we’re building.

What they may not realize is that they’ve impacted my life just as much as I’ve impacted theirs. The countless hours spent training, talking, mentoring, laughing, and growing together created relationships that will last far beyond the batting cage.

There are several others who weren’t on the golf course with us that day who have also helped shape this program, and I’m forever grateful for every one of them.

Heisler Hitting has never been only about how good we can get at hitting a baseball. It’s about developing young men, building lifelong relationships, and creating a family that supports one another long after the training ends.

These four helped set the pillars in place. Now it’s up to the next generation to carry the standard forward.

Heisler Hitting is family. Always has been. Always will be. ❤️

Your swing is only as good as the pitches you choose to swing at.

In Part 2 of this interview with PCA, he talks about checking the hitter’s ego. We all believe we’re good enough to hit everything, but real success comes from controlling the strike zone and understanding which pitches we can actually do damage on.

When hitters finally let go of the fear of striking out, they often start striking out less. Strikeouts are going to happen. This game is too hard to avoid them completely. The goal is to stay disciplined and consistently put yourself in a position to be productive.

Sometimes taking a walk is far more productive than chasing a hit. That growth is showing up this season: PCA already has 60 walks compared to just 29 all of last year.

He also explains the importance of finding a pregame routine that works for you and trusting it. The sooner you establish your routine, the sooner you stop searching for something new every time things go wrong.

Control the zone. Trust your routine. Put yourself in a position to produce.

Save this video, share it with a hitter who needs to hear it, and comment your biggest takeaway from Part 2. ⬇️

Left-handed hitters who struggle against left-handed pitching, pay close attention to this interview.

MVP candidate Pete Crow-Armstrong breaks down the adjustments that have helped him find success in left-on-left matchups:

• Crowd the plate
• Own the middle-in part of the zone
• Be okay with getting jammed
• Recognize the two-seam running in and the slider breaking away
• Learn which pitch starts as a strike and finishes as a ball, and which one starts as a ball and comes back for a strike

The goal isn’t to just survive against lefties. Understand how they’re attacking you, control the strike zone, and stay ready to do damage.

Own the tunnel. Hunt your pitch. Pull it with confidence. 🎯

Save this video, send it to a left-handed hitter, and follow Adam Heisler - Hitting Coach for more ways to become a complete hitter.
