Some Sundays in Yoga for Recovery are quiet and grounding…
and some Sundays turn into full-on group therapy with a soundtrack. 💛🎶
Today’s practice had a little bit of everything — tears, laughter, singing out loud, deep breaths, and that beautiful reminder that healing doesn’t always look the same.
Sometimes recovery is releasing. Sometimes it’s reconnecting. Sometimes it’s belting out lyrics on the mat with people who simply get it.
We even paused to celebrate a recovery birthday today — because in this community, every milestone matters. 🎉 One more year of choosing life, healing, growth, and showing up. Those moments deserve to be honored.
There is something incredibly powerful about a room full of people showing up exactly as they are — no masks, no expectations, just honest humanity and grace.
And of course… we ended the only way we know how: soft lights, savasana, and essential oils floating through the room. 🌿✨
Grateful for this community. Grateful for the music. Grateful for every soul brave enough to keep coming back.

Supported Child’s Pose
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do… is pause. 💛
In Yoga for Recovery we spent time in Supported Child’s Pose—a gentle, restorative posture that invites the body to soften and the mind to quiet.
With the support of a bolster or pillows, this pose reminds us that we don’t have to hold everything on our own. We can rest. We can receive support. We can simply be.
Benefits of Supported Child’s Pose:• Calms the nervous system and reduces anxiety• Gently releases tension in the back, hips, and shoulders• Encourages deep, steady breathing• Creates a sense of safety and grounding• Offers a moment to reconnect with the God of our understanding
In recovery, learning to pause—to sit in stillness without needing to fix or change anything—is a powerful practice.
Take a moment today to rest. You’ve earned it.
“Nothing to force… nothing to fix… just breathing, just being.”

Last session brought the energy AND the stretch… yes, even a little manduka (frog) before settling into deep rest. 🐸😄
We move, we laugh, we sing, we release—and we always end with a peaceful Savasana.....or Yoga nidra
