💸Mission raised $7,860 for McKemie Place!💸

We’re thrilled to announce, through the massive efforts of our Mission collective, we raised $7,860 for our 2026 3rd quarter [Charity of Choice], McKemie Place 👏👏👏

McKemie Place is the only emergency shelter for unaccompanied homeless women in Southwest Alabama.

Since 2007, they have been a safe, temporary shelter for up to 50 women at a time. On average, McKemie Place provides over 4 million dollars worth of services to 450 women each year.

If you’ve ever wondered about the mission of Mission…this is it.

Supporting our great[er] community is the 🫶 in Health + Heart. It’s how we “Sweat for Good”. And it’s these efforts that change us and our greater community.

Real talk…local non-profits are hurting. And their need doesn’t end when our efforts do.

After decades of helping house the most vulnuerable, McKemie Place is the one that may be unhoused.

Like so many non-profits, McKemie doesn’t own the building they call home. The organization has been left in a bind with an enormous challenge: raise $150,000 before the end of the year...or risk losing the shelter altogether.

That’s why our efforts of support, love and solidarity don’t end with the close of a quarter.

Desperation, need and poverty don’t have fiscal deadlines or hard stops.

There are thousands of women in our community who are one missed paycheck, one medical emergency, one mishap away from homelessness.

If it’s not you, it’s someone you know.

Our plea is for you to continue to keep McKemie Place top of mind and close to heart.

Mission is NINE. And we celebrated this milestone doing what we do best…we sipped 🥂for GOOD!

Mission’s 9th anniversary event, Sip for Good, benefitting McKemie Place was a party with purpose.

A heap of humans showed up to toast [signature] glasses and raise resources + awareness for McKemie as they fight to support women facing homelessness along the Gulf Coast.

Our very own party producer Robin Roach outdid herself with the stunning arrangements 💐+ homemade desserts and a spread 🧀 🍢built for the best.

And with Cadbury Warren snapping shots 📸 everyone + everything looked picture perfect.

The silent auction made some big noise brimming with goodies from massages to full meals.
