Esme was absolutely SMASHING the ball this weekend!! 🔥🥎 She came up BIG for PCL all tournament long and earned MVP of the Tournament!

In the championship game alone, she went 2-for-2 with TWO TRIPLES, drove in 3 runs with two outs, and was a WALL behind the plate 💪🏼🔥

So proud of this girl and the way she competed all weekend!

These girls showed OUT today! 🔥

⭐ Saylah — Pitched a NO HITTER! 🔥🥎 Absolutely dominant in the circle!

⭐ Zyiah — Made an AWESOME play in right field, throwing the runner out at first, AND had a great hit at the plate! 💪

⭐ Madi — Made a HUGE play in right field, throwing the runner out at first! That defense! 👏🔥

⭐ Tylee — After spraining her ankle, she came back and laid down a BEAUTIFUL bunt and beat it out at first! Tough, determined, and all heart! ❤️

🥎❤️💙 Proud is an understatement! 💙❤️🥎

We want to give a HUGE congratulations to two of our Port City Legacy girls, Esme Dunlap and Saylah Bowie, for being selected as their school’s Superintendents’ Red Ribbon Leader!

Each school selects one student who exemplifies the Six Pillars of Character — trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. These students are recognized as leaders among their peers and help promote healthy choices and make a positive impact in their school and community.

Esme and Saylah were each chosen to represent their entire school! 👏🏼

We already know these two are awesome softball players, but we are even more proud of the young ladies they are off the field. Character, leadership, kindness, responsibility, and being someone others can look up to will always mean more than anything they can do with a softball.

Way to represent yourselves, your schools, your families, and Port City Legacy so well, girls! ❤️💙🥎

Wanted to give a special shoutout to our pitchers this past weekend. We played 7 games on Saturday and these girls stepped up and pushed through it. What we are most impressed with, is their willingness to share the mound and have each others back when their name is called.

* Charlie threw a 1 hitter in her first appearance of the day and also came in for relief with bases loaded and got the save in a very tight 3-2 win. She is getting better and better each tournament on the mound.

* The control and spin this young pitcher has is incredible. She is always keeping hitters off balance and pitching to soft contact. She threw a 4 inning shutout in the first championship game to force the IF game and only allowed 2 hits.

* Claire struggled with her location earlier in the day, but as Claire always does, she came right back and was a beast on the mound when the games were on the line. She is a dog on the mound and goes right at hitters!!
