Help people out? Scavenger Hunt? Bike Ride? You can do all 3 on one bike ride. Mobile’s 1st Annual Cranksgiving is right around the corner. It all goes down Saturday, November 7th at 8 am starting in Bienville Square. Prizes will be awarded for different categories. If you can’t make it but want to donate food or dry goods, Azalea City Bicycle Company and Great Day Latte will accept drop off donations. All donations will go to support Love All Pantry and the work they do for the less fortunate in Mobile. Don’t forget that it’s Wednesday. That means all the cool kids will be gathering at Braided River Brewing Co. for the LoDa Braided River Casual group ride. The ride leaves at 6:30 pm from Braided River, we take a break at Nixon’s. Some people have a bite to eat, some have a drink, but we all socialize. Some people head to their homes around Nixon’s and a group heads back to Braided River. Lights are the law and help create a nice lighted path for Jesse to get us lost. Helmets are not required but we only get one brain. See you at 6:30.

We’ve had some perfect riding weather the last few days. How are your goals for the month coming along? With group rides almost every day, it’s easy to make up for the “hurricane” days lost this month. Finish the month strong, we’ve got faith in you!

Less than a week until the 10th Annual Mobile Witches Ride. Still time to register to ride and have a great time and support a great cause,Delta Dogs. Bikes and dogs, who doesn’t love them? We came, we rode, we conquered the wind! Great turnout with beautiful new face mixing in with usual beautiful faces and Jacob Abraham. A few riders decided they didn’t want the “wind blown look” captured in the group photo. Thanks to the amazing Judson Meherg for the picture and for capturing lots of video today.

Temperature looks like it will be perfect for the ride tomorrow morning but the wind wants to make sure we don’t forget about him. We hope to see everyone tomorrow at 8 am at the shop(107 Dauphin St) for our casual stroll around downtown and Midtown. Ride lasts about an hour. If you want to rent a bike, we have them and arrive around 7:45 am to get set up.

Make sure you have Cranksgiving on your calendar! It’s Saturday November 7th starting at 8 am in Bienville Square. Cranksgiving is a food drive, scavenger hunt, and bike ride. The food drive helps the less fortunate in the Mobile area. We want to see the bike community come out and show our neighbors we love to help. If you can’t make the ride but want to support, a list of needed items will be displayed. Items can be dropped of at Azalea City Bicycle Company and Great Day Latte Let’s make this event a huge success and help out our neighbors.

You know what tonight is!
See you at the LoDa Braided River social ride tonight at 6:30 pm at Braided River Brewing Co. The weather is beautiful so the ride should be even more awesome than normal. Remember, lights are required by law and James West makes helmets look sexy, join him in the helmet brigade. As always, the ride takes a drink/food break at Nixons. We look forward to seeing everyone tonight.

Try going down different streets, trails, or ride your route backwards. We did this morning and it was an entirely new adventure. You can still crush your goals.
