There’s always something happening behind the scenes at STRUT… and now there’s one place to catch all the buzz.

We’re so excited to officially introduce BACKSTAGE BUZZ, our new community bulletin board and your go-to spot for all things STRUT! 💛🖤

From studio news and upcoming events to student achievements, important reminders, and community announcements, Backstage Buzz is all about keeping our STRUT family connected, informed, and celebrating the incredible things happening within our walls… and beyond them.

And the best part?
This isn’t actually a new idea.

Backstage Buzz was originally created years ago by our very own Vivian Cresswell ~ “Aunt Vicki.” It was a brilliant idea then, and we decided it was time to dust it off, give it a fresh STRUT spin, and BRING IT BACK!

So when you’re at the studio, take a minute to stop by, see what’s new, celebrate someone doing something amazing, and stay in the know.

We could not be more proud to celebrate two of our STRUT dancers, Nakai Coleman and Rachel Stanley, who stepped outside their comfort zones and auditioned for the Golden State Warriors Jr. Jam Squad! 🏀✨

The Jr. Jam Squad brings together talented young dancers to perform high-energy hip-hop and dance routines as part of the Golden State Warriors game-day experience… and both Nakai and Rachel advanced through auditions to the SEMIFINAL ROUND!

⭐ NAKAI COLEMAN
Nakai’s journey may have ended in the semifinals, but what he accomplished is something worth celebrating BIG. We have watched tremendous growth in Nakai this year > in his dancing, confidence and willingness to challenge himself. Putting yourself in a room like this takes courage, and we are incredibly proud that he went for it. We cannot wait to continue training with him and see where his talent and determination take him next!

⭐ RACHEL STANLEY
Rachel has advanced through multiple rounds and is headed to the FINAL AUDITION this weekend! 💙💛 An incredible artistic athlete and dancer who has trained with STRUT for several years, Rachel continues to challenge herself, pursue new opportunities and grow with every experience. Regardless of the final result, she has already given us so much to be proud of… and we’ll be cheering her on all the way!

At STRUT, we want our dancers to know that success isn’t only measured by the final result. It’s having the courage to walk into the room. To take the chance. To be challenged. To grow. And to keep going.

Nakai + Rachel, thank you for taking us along on this journey. We are SO proud of you both!

💪 STRUT STRONG: Strength & Conditioning returns this season with Terra Goodrich… and this class is open to EVERYONE.

Dancers. Parents. Siblings. Friends. Former dancers. Community members.
You do NOT have to be a STRUT dancer to train with us.

This is about getting stronger, more powerful and more confident through smart, functional training designed to build strength, endurance, stability and better movement.

And with Terra’s background as an RN, strength coach, former personal trainer, functional nutrition specialist and lifelong competitive athlete, you’re training with someone who understands the body AND performance.

2026 - 2027 Dance Season

Please read carefully before registering!

As part of our commitment to providing the highest quality dance education, we’ve updated our Ballet and Pointe programs with important prerequisites, requirements, and class recommendations designed to help every dancer develop a strong technical foundation while progressing toward excellence.

Please review each class description before registering to ensure your dancer is enrolled in the appropriate ballet level and any required or recommended technique classes.

Program Highlights:
💜 Ballet Levels 1, 2 & Teen Ballet: Ballet Technique I is strongly recommended to accelerate technical growth and development.
💜 Ballet Levels 3, 4 & 5: Ballet Technique II is required.
💜 Ballet Levels 4 & 5: Ballet Technique II and Pointe Technique are required.
** Pointe Technique is available by instructor evaluation and recommendation only to ensure dancers are technically and physically prepared.

📌 Please Note: Ballet Technique I, Ballet Technique II, and Pointe Technique are technique-only classes and do not perform in our Winter/ Summer productions.

We are beyond excited to announce that STRUT Performing Arts will once again be taking the stage alongside the incredible Modesto Junior College Dance Department, outstanding local high school dance programs, and talented dance studios from across our community!

This has always been one of our favorite events. For many years, it was a tradition we looked forward to, and while busy seasons of life sometimes require difficult choices, we couldn’t be more thrilled to be returning this year.

We have an amazing group of dancers representing STRUT, and we can’t wait to share the stage with so many passionate artists who all have one thing in common… a love for dance. There’s something truly special about seeing our local dance community come together to celebrate creativity, artistry, and the power of performance.

A heartfelt thank you to the Modesto Junior College Dance Department and in particular, Kim Davis, for continuing to make this incredible event possible. Your commitment to bringing together dancers of all ages, backgrounds, and programs creates an experience that strengthens our dance community and reminds us why we love what we do.
