Focha Aquatics

Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I am a swim instructor at Focha Aquatics. I have been teaching for about 19 years. I teach all levels and ages. My swim background is extensive; I have been a competitive swimmer since age 6, I have coached masters swimming, taught water aerobics/water therapy, I am currently a swim coach for Modesto Mavericks, and Turlock Aquatics Club. Growing up I swam competitively year round, dove spring board for 10 years, and water polo for 6 years.

I am also a mom to an 11 year old, who is officially taller than me. 😅 She is also on Modesto Mavericks swim team. When I’m not in the water or coaching I am busy working out, driving around to various activities, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling.

As an adult I was diagnosed with ADHD, I have found it’s a super power… especially working with kids. My mind is creative, finds multitasking easy, and my brain needs to stay busy.

Hello everyone, with this year being warmer early on I am able to start swim lessons earlier than I’ve ever started. Lessons begin Thursday April 9th. April and May are a little more lenient with scheduling. Most families are like mine and very busy with school, and extracurricular activities. I will work with your schedule as best as I can. I always advise to get on schedule as soon as you can. Lessons fill fast, if you’re signed up for pre season swim lessons, you get priority for June and July.

First official session starts Monday June 1st.

This season the location I am renting is a backyard pool near Beyer high school and Stockard coffee elementary. The pool is heated.
