💜 WHAT ARE THOSE MARKS ON THE FLOOR? 💜

Have you ever noticed the colorful markers around the dance studio?

They may look simple, but they are helpful tools! Teachers use them to help dancers:

✨ Find their starting positions
✨ Maintain proper spacing
✨ Learn formations
✨ Move safely around one another
✨ Prepare for their placement onstage

For younger dancers, the markers also make instructions easier to understand—“Find the blue heart!” is much simpler than trying to describe an exact spot on the floor.

Sometimes the smallest studio tools make a big difference in helping a class learn and work together!

We honor the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who answered with bravery and compassion. We continue to pray for the families whose lives were forever changed.

May we never forget the strength, sacrifice, and unity shown on that day.

Before class:
“I’m tired.”
“Do I have to go today?”
“Where are my dance shoes?”

After class:
Dancing through the lobby.
Practicing the new combination in the parking lot.
Talking nonstop about everything that happened.
Already asking when the next class is. 😂

There’s just something special about leaving dance class with a full heart, new memories, and a little extra energy!

🩰 DANCE SHOE CHECK! 🩰

Dance shoes work hard, too! Take a few minutes today to help your dancer check their shoes:

✨ Is their name written inside?
✨ Do they still fit comfortably?
✨ Are any straps, laces, or taps loose?
✨ Are they clean and ready for class?
✨ Are they being worn only inside the studio?

After class, open the dance bag and allow shoes and clothing to air out. This simple habit helps keep everything fresh and ready for the next class!

A prepared dance bag makes class days easier for everyone. 💜

As dancers develop the skills required for each level, they work toward earning their next shorts color:
