With two convenient studio locations, LLSD offers a variety of classes for ages 2.5 and up. For over fifty years we have nurtured the art of dance - Our staff is ready for you! We consider dance to be a life enhancing experience for your child. Dance is a wonderful artistic outlet that not only utilizes creativity and talent but also teaches discipline. All of our teachers feel strongly about the role of dance in building character and self esteem. We guarantee a positive and productive learning environment. We have a special commitment at the Linda Lavender School of Dance to provide an environment of professional dance training for all students from beginner to advanced, child to adult. Although we understand that not all who attend will wish to become professional dancers, our commitment allows each student to gain correct insight, training and experience in the art of dance, regardless of age, proficiency level, or aspirations. The art of dance extends beyond mere movement. It fuses all of the arts - combining music, dance design, and drama. The child who is fortunate enough to study dance will find his/her entire life enriched by the experience. Dance is for everyone and everyone is welcome! Students with physical limitations will benefit in many ways from being able to experience the wonderful art of dance. We are mindful of children with differences; they make our hearts dance!

We love celebrating our LLSD alumni and watching them continue to do what they love!

Congratulations to former LLSD student Evan May, who has officially been hired as a Production Cast Dancer aboard Regent Seven Seas Splendor, part of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings!

Evan heads to Tampa next week to begin six weeks of training, where he’ll learn five different productions before boarding the Splendor on October 29. Over the next seven months, he’ll perform while traveling to nearly 30 countries and destinations throughout the Caribbean, Hawaii, French Polynesia, Bora Bora, Fiji, Australia and beyond!

Evan shared that LLSD gave him a place where he could be his true, authentic self and pursue what he loves — and we know Mrs. Linda would be incredibly proud to see where that love of dance is taking him.

We are so proud of you, Evan, and can’t wait to follow along on this incredible adventure. Congratulations from your entire LLSD family!

Congratulations Wayne Gentry! We are so excited for you! 💜💜

The Miss America Organization is proud to welcome Wayne Gentry of ShowCase Productions as the producer of this year’s Miss America Competition, taking place August 28–September 6, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida!

With nearly five decades of experience in live television, event production and pageantry, Wayne brings an incredible legacy to the Miss America stage. He currently produces broadcasts for ESPN+ and serves as producer for the Miss Louisiana, Miss Arkansas and Miss Texas competitions and statewide telecasts.

Wayne’s pageant production journey began with Miss Louisiana in 1976, and his impressive career has included producing Miss Florida and Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen, Miss Arkansas, and countless other nationally recognized performances and events.

Now, he’s bringing that expertise to Miss America👑

The stage is set. The countdown is on.
