Coach Spotlight!
Chris has been a part of the All American Baseball family for much of his baseball life, first spending six years in the program as a Team All American player before returning to the organization as a coach in 2023. Since returning, he has served as a head coach at the 11u, 12u, and 14u levels, while also taking on an increased role in All American’s youth camps and clinics. As an instructor, Chris works primarily with hitters and first basemen, using his own experiences as a player to connect with and develop athletes throughout the program.
After his time with Team All American, Chris continued his playing career at Central Catholic High School before attending the University of Pittsburgh, where he played club baseball. His time at Pitt eventually provided his first opportunity to experience coaching at the collegiate level, spending two years as a member of the Pitt Club Baseball coaching staff. That experience, combined with his years at All American, helped shape his approach to coaching and further developed his passion for teaching the game.
Chris has also expanded his involvement in baseball through his work with Five Tool Northeast, where he is involved in media and scouting while helping the organization expand into new locations and markets. Working around players, coaches, scouts, and programs at different levels has given him another perspective on player development and the opportunities available to young athletes as they progress through the game.
Having experienced All American from both sides of the player-coach relationship, Chris takes particular pride in his ability to relate to the players he coaches. He believes that approachability and trust are essential to getting the most out of young athletes and strives to be someone players are comfortable learning from, asking questions of, and turning to when they need guidance. His own years as a Team All American player contributed heavily not only to his development on the baseball field, but also to his growth as a person.
For Chris, coaching at All American represents an opportunity to give back to a program that played an important role in his own life. Having once been one of the young players coming through the organization, he takes great pride in now helping shape the experiences of the players following in his footsteps and continuing the culture that helped make him the player, coach, and person he is today.
