It’s that time again… Laughlin: last weekend of July. There are group discounts, so please help us get a headcount in person. We will be registering together, so please discuss a Laughlin vacation with your family, and then let your Sensei know. Osu!

Karate 1 and 2 will be in the basketball court the first week of June, instead of the Hotchkin Room, due to elections. Thanks for understanding!

A very happy birthday weekend to dojo dad Ed Velasco. His sons started Kyokushin over a decade ago and he always pushed them to practice at home and push to be their best. For over a decade, he has supported the school, helped with events and traveled as far as other states for tournaments. Thank you Ed and here’s to many more! Ossss!

(Swipe for all 3) As our classes become fuller with growing waiting lists, these are our new guidelines for Monrovia (Santa Anita) classes. These are carefully thought out and very necessary. Please respect these guidelines, and that intermediate/advanced classes require good discipline and behavior (especially holding still and only talking when appropriate). Thank you!

Sempais Maddox, Nivek and Hayden Velasco were awarded the rank of Shodan-Ho. These young men have trained and taught since the days of the Ice Bear himself, Master Terry Hotchkin and have shown more than a decade of dedication and commitment. Regardless of how busy their life gets through work, AP classes and preparing for college, they come as often as their schedule allows, and in a balanced martial arts setting, this is seen as consistency. Senseis Sean Lawrence and Minh La are honored to be their instructors. We look forward to these gentlemen earning their Shodan within the next few years. Osu!
