2026 AUSKF SUMMER CAMP🏕️

What a weekend!🔥
This past weekend brought some seriously HOT temperatures, ranging from 107°F to 118°F! 🥵🔥
An extreme heat warning was in effect from the National Weather Service, so we were incredibly grateful that the venue had working A/C throughout the entire event! 🙏🏻❄️

It was wonderful seeing so many local and out-of-state kendoka who came together to take their promotional exams.

We don’t often get a chance to take photos with guest sensei, but we received an early-morning call from Yamada Sensei (8 Dan Kyoshi) in Japan telling us to make sure we took a photo with Furukawa Sensei. 😅📸
I guess he had already heard the news and was excited that Furukawa Sensei was here in the U.S. for the event! 😂🤣

Congratulations to everyone who passed their exams yesterday! 👏🏻

We were especially excited to hear that Makiuchi Sensei passed her 5 Dan exam and our SCKF president Tew sensei for passing his Shogo for 6Dan Renshi!🙌🏻✨ And another huge congratulations to Zenbayashi Sensei on passing his Shogo exam for 7 Dan Kyoshi! 🙌🏻✨

Our pop-up shop will be at upcoming Fall Japan Fair in OC✨

We are excited to be back at OC Japan Fair in October. We will be offering a wide range of non-budogu products at our pop-up shop during the Festival at OC Fair ground 2026. Our selection will primarily consist of Japanese merchandise, including Noren, Geta, tabi socks, Jinbei, Samuei, aprons, T-shirts, anime goods, furoshiki, and much more! Make sure to mark your calendar for this fantastic event, as it is one of the largest Japanese festivals in Southern California. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!

Day 3 Highlights🏆

The final day of the 2026 AUSKF National Championships featured the Senior Youth Boys & Girls, Women’s Team, and Men’s Team Championships.

Every team stepped onto the shiaijo ready to give it their all. The energy was incredible, and with so many strong competitors, no one knew which federation would come out on top. It was exciting to watch outstanding performances from federations across the country and see so many memorable matches.📸

We were especially proud to see MWKF earn podium finishes in several individual and team divisions. Being a small part of their journey behind the scenes through our equipment and custom gear makes these moments even more meaningful. Congratulations to everyone on your hard-earned success! 👏🙌🏻✨

A special congratulations to Okawa Sensei on capturing 1st Place in the Senior Division!🏆🥇✨
We couldn’t help but notice he was wearing one of our do that he purchased back when we still had our physical store before the pandemic. He stopped by our booth and shared the story behind it. He said he was waiting for the right moment to wear it. That moment finally came, and it became part of a championship winning performance. We’re truly honored that one of our do was part of such a special milestone. Congratulations to an incredible achievement!🙏🏻

Congratulations as well to all of the individual champions who received our first-place prizes! While our prizes may not be the fanciest, we hope they’ll be a useful part of your daily training.💪🏻✨
