a 40+ foot fin whale washed up on a Monterey beach by the Tides Hotel. unofficially id say the injuries suggest a large apex preditor like the orcas that have been seen in the area.

these two adorable little ones were born in the spring and lived in my back yard. they would come every day and take a nap under the trees. they have lost their spots and are growing antlers. they no longer take naps and play all day. 😂🤣💪 mom is never far from their side and dad comes to visit often.the baby black squirrel comes every day to play and feed on the pine nuts.
