Throw back to our first time meeting in person at the 2023 Head of the Charles! So much has changed since then. In this picture, rowing across the Pacific was just a dream and we’re now world record holders which is still absolutely surreal 🥹 And that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the rowing community.

To everyone at this year, enjoy the community, the people, the friendships. It truly is the world’s largest rowing reunion and we’re lucky to be part of such an amazing sport filled with incredible people.

And importantly: good luck to everyone racing! We want to cheer you on - drop your event and bow numbers in the comments!

Wondering why they're going so far south? Don't worry, they're not lost! They have a ~strategy~ that will basically make the wind a fourth member of their team. Thanks to their fabulous weather router Dawn Smith , they'll hopefully be absolutely flying once all their repairs are set. It has been a whirlwind of a few days in Monterey! With our food and gear packed, inspection passed, boat in the water, comms equipment training done, and so much more we are almost ready to set off towards Hawaii.

We only have 2 full days left on land before the race start on Friday which is surreal, exciting, nerve wracking, and motivating all at the same time. Follow .toughest.row to stay updated on exact timing of the race start and for information on how to watch the live steam of the start!

A shark friend decided to visit us for our final training row! 🦈 We reported the spotting to where the folks over there helped identify it as a basking shark.

It was incredible seeing this creature up close, and before swimming on its merry way, it swam right underneath our boat 😳
