To Our Parents and Students,
With the Coronavirus in the news this week, along with the cold and flu season still upon us, a lot of steps, in the community, are being taken to keep our children’s safety top priority. The Monterey County school district has made the decision to shut down all school activities as a safety measure. We respect their decision and wanted to share with you the safety steps the Monterey team are taking to keep our academy as germ free as possible.
▪️ We have hand sanitizer pumps as soon as you walk into the academy for our parents, students and staff to use. We encourage students and parents to use the sanitizer when they enter and leave our schools and for students to utilize the sanitizer when they enter and exit the mat.
▪️ We request our students/parents honor the “no shoes on the mat” policy we implemented at the beginning of the year and would like to request our students take an extra step when using the restroom by putting on their shoes before entering the restroom to keep any germs off their feet and re-entering the mat.
▪️ We are doubling our efforts in making our schools the Cleanest Place In Town, by disinfecting our mats regularly, along with disinfecting surfaces throughout our schools that experience a high volume of traffic and activity.
▪️ If you are feeling feverish, please stay home and heal.
We are grateful for our extended family of parents and students and we will continue to do everything we can in providing a safe and healthy environment in which to train.
