Sunny has traveled widely sharing oral histories, humor, and teachings passed down through generations. Rooted in traditional matriarchal wisdom, her storytelling creates a space of laughter, reflection, and connection, reminding us of the enduring strength and resilience held within our families and communities.

Meet Chelsey Luger, writer, journalist, and wellness advocate from the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
As co-founder of the grassroots initiative Well For Culture, Chelsey has dedicated her career to making ancestral health philosophies accessible and actionable for modern life. Her work focuses on whole-person well-being through practical, community-centered approaches to movement, food, mental health, and connection to the land.
She is the co-author of The Seven Circles: Indigenous Teachings for Living Well and the author of Native Home: The Ancestral Art of Creating Healing Spaces.
At the summit, Chelsey will lead an afternoon masterclass diving into the Seven Circles model, sharing clear tools to help keep everyday life in balance.

Meet Haley Laughter, CEO and Founder of Hozho Total Wellness.

Haley is dedicated to bringing approachable health, movement, and wellness into Native communities. Through Hozho Total Wellness, she creates welcoming spaces focused on physical vitality, stress relief, and mental clarity, making wellness routines practical and sustainable for everyday life.
At the summit, Haley will guide attendees through an all-levels yoga and movement session. Designed especially for beginners, every body, and all ages, this practice will share gentle, accessible ways to release tension, stretch, and reset your energy.

Speaker Spotlight: Deone Newell

Meet Deone Newell, Diné and Creole Somatic Healer, Executive Coach, Potter, and Sound Practitioner.

From her childhood memories of her great-grandmother’s chantway songs to her journey bridging worlds Deone has made an impact across teh Navajo Nation building connections with contemporary somatic healing. After reaching senior executive leadership in corporate America, managing top territories while battling severe burnout, anxiety, and migraines, she stepped away to return to what always kept her grounded: breath, sound, clay, and ceremony.

Learn from her training from Rishikesh, India, to Zen Buddhist lineages, certifying her in breathwork, sound healing, Reiki, Internal Family Systems, and grief doula work. Now based back home in Window Rock, she guides leaders, relatives navigating grief, and those in deep life transitions back into balance, beauty, and right relationship with oneself and community.

At the summit, Deone will lead an experiential morning masterclass designed to regulate the nervous system, release stress, and leave you with grounded tools for personal restoration.

• Blanding & Montezuma Creek: Closes at 6:00 p.m. (Mon–Thu) | 4:00 p.m. (Fri)

• Monument Valley & Navajo Mountain: Closes at 5:00 p.m. (Mon–Thu) | 4:00 p.m. (Fri)

• Blanding Saturdays: Closes at 4:00 p.m.

• Dental Services: Closes at 5:00 p.m. on scheduled service days.

Tee off for rural medicine and celebrate 25 years of care! ⛳

Join community leaders, partners, and friends for the 2nd Annual Health Care Heroes Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Hideout Golf Course in Monticello, Utah.

Held in celebration of Utah Navajo Health System’s 25th Anniversary milestone and welcoming Blue Mountain Hospital to our family of care, this tournament offers a day of community, friendly competition, and direct impact. Proceeds directly support the future of local rural healthcare by expanding medical training opportunities at UNHS centers and funding academic scholarships for youth entering the medical field.
