LCHS Clay Target team athletes Justin Yeager, David Blair, Tyler Kowalik, and Head Coach Gator Adams have been competing at the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) in San Antonio, the largest annual sporting clays competition in the world, drawing thousands of competitors and some of the best shooters in the sport!

While they aren’t competing under the Lake Creek name, we LOVE seeing our athletes and coaches showcasing their talents at this level! We also couldn’t help but notice that two of them competed their lucky Lake Creek shooting vests, giving our amazing sponsors some national exposure while they’re at it! 😉

Competing among the best is a BIG deal, and we’re SO PROUD to have this kind of talent on our team! USA Clay Target League Lake Creek High School Montgomery ISD Gator Adams

Lucas Riddle and Landon Lyons couldn’t have ended their fall season any better! Both athletes shot a PERFECT 50/50 in Sporting Clays for week 5 of competition! Make no mistake, shooting a perfect round in Sporting Clays is no easy feat! It takes incredible focus, consistency, and skill to break every single target!

The coaches were on the edge of their seats at that final station, holding their breath until the very last clay broke! Talk about a nail-biting finish!

What a way to close out the season, boys! Congratulations on an incredible accomplishment! USA Clay Target League Lake Creek High School Montgomery ISD Gator Adams

We have to take a second to brag on our Sporting Clays team! 🦁

46 athletes strong, our Lions are currently leading their conference and making a pretty big statement on the national stage. After Week 2, they are currently ranked #1 out of 33 teams across the entire country! 🇺🇸🏆

There’s still plenty of work to do with 3 weeks of competition rounds left, but this team has put themselves in one heck of a position!

Help us cheer them all the way to the finish line. Keep breaking clays, Lions. Stay hungry and keep that #1 spot! 🔥
