to our 1 year anniversary celebration. ❤️

This past October, we celebrated 3️⃣ years of Rock Steady Montgomery! While we might not have been able to celebrate together in person, we are so thankful to each fighter, their spouse, every coach and volunteer that has helped us get to year 3!

Some of these fighters have gone on to be with the Lord. Some we have been distanced from because of COVID. Others are still coming almost daily to class.

Even though we are distanced, we want to give a big shout out to every fighter fighting everyday! We are inspired by you and are here to fight alongside you!! 💪🏼

Two things we do in Rock Steady

1️⃣ Work hard
2️⃣ Have fun

While we challenge our fighters in their workouts, we also have fun while doing it! There isn’t one single class where we haven’t laughed with these amazing men and women!

We’ve found that tough workouts and humor go a long way!

There are for these fighters!

While this video was taken pre-COVID, it’s motivation for us to push to do new things!

Whatever these fighters set their minds to, they can do. They push hard. They fight daily. They are resilient!

Happy Monday Rock Steady family!!

The fight against doesn’t have to be done alone.

has provided a way for men and women with Parkinson’s to not only physically fight the effects of PD but also fight isolation.

This diagnosis and the effects it has on one’s body can leave a person depressed and fighting at home alone.

We’ve seen this group of individuals who didn’t know each other prior to coming to Rock Steady form a tight-nit community who supports one another. And it’s not just the boxers: it’s spouses, family members and volunteers.

Before COVID, our group would have quarterly lunches. We gathered in fellowship because we simply loved each other and knew we were all better together.

While we dream of doing a big lunch together again one day soon, we know that each person that is social distancing knows they are not alone, and they always gave this group to come back to!

If you know someone with Parkinson’s, please let them know about this group. We want to bring more fighters in because we know that we are ALL better together! 💪🏼

[ ] Oh how we miss gathering with these amazing fighters!!! (Photo taken pre-COVID!)

This group not only worked out together, but there was community built among each other.

We know COVID has kept so many of our fighters away, but we look forward to the time when we can all come together again! WE ARE ROCK STEADY! 🥊

We loved having Mark, a new volunteer, work with our fighters on posture. Mark is a former Navy Seal who has worked in fitness facilities helping patients recover from injuries, surgeries and other diseases.

This is an easy workout you can do from home to help with posture issues!
