Flagtown Fire/Rescue - Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. #1 recently put their Holmatro CORE tools into action during a challenging vehicle rescue.

A porta-potty tank truck crashed into several trees, causing the tank to separate from the truck and crush the cab, leaving the driver pinned against the dashboard. The unique vehicle type and extensive damage created a challenging rescue scenario for crews.

Using their Holmatro CORE tools, crews removed the door and made strategic relief cuts before using a winch to carefully pull the cab backward and create enough space to free the driver. The driver was then airlifted to a trauma center for further care.

Great work to all involved.
