We had another great turnout last night for trail work. Two groups of volunteers were able to do some trail maintenance: Rehab and trail repair work in the Huck Harbor section, including armoring the trail after the road crossing by the boat launch (fixing a heavily eroded spot), and also work on a short trail realignment in the Kickstart section, addressing an eroding section of very old trail - the realignment will be more sustainable and allow water to shed across the trail rather than down it. Thank you to everyone that came out to help with the trails! (only one group pictured)
We have not reclaimed the old part of the Kickstart realignment yet until we make sure the new reroute does not need any adjustments. Let us know what you think when you check it out.
There is a tree down in the Kame section that will likely get taken care of this evening.

We had an amazing turnout last night for trail work and were able to do a significant armoring project on the East side of the park. Thank you so much to everyone that came out to help with the trail!

We are meeting up for trail work this week Wednesday at 5:30pm at the storage container adjacent to the entrance of the park. We'll be working on a trail armoring project and a couple other things. Please come out and help maintain the trail!

There will NOT be trail work this week Wednesday. Stay tuned for future trail work sessions, we may try to tackle a big project before the season is over.

Trail work Wednesday is almost upon us again. We'll be meeting at the storage container adjacent to the entrance to the park at 5:30pm. We may only have a couple more trail work nights left this season, so don't miss your chance of coming out and having a good time maintaining the trails.

The Bertram crew focused maintenance efforts in the Huck Harbor trail section last night with trimming work and some dirt maintenance. Please try to go easy on some of the fresh dirt work, conditions are very dry limiting what we can do and leaving any work done hard to compact. It is very likely we may need to reschedule our trail work night in the next couple of weeks to be immediately after a rainfall event so we can complete some dirt work tasks. Overall the trails are mostly trimmed great and riding nicely, be sure to get to Bertram if you are looking for a wonderful ride!
