The Bertram trail crew accomplished a lot of trimming on the East side of the park last night. The trail should be riding great. Please become a member of MORC if you are not already. It helps keep gas in our trimmers and tools in our hands. You can support our efforts here: https://www.morcmtb.org/membership

We will plan to try to move forward with trail work tonight. Be forewarned there might be some sprinkles/rainfall, but we can still trim in these conditions. If there is lightning activity then we will call it. Meeting at 5:30pm at the container adjacent to the park entrance.

Once again there is a bit of weather uncertainty for our Wednesday night trail work this week. We will make the call midday Wednesday, stay tuned. We will be rescheduling to Thursday this week if Wednesday doesn't work out.

The trails at Bertram are a perfect sort of tacky today (Friday). You had better head straight over to ride after work as it doesn't get any better than this. It may warrant taking an early Friday leave.

The weather forecast looks pretty good for tonight, so trailwork is on. We'll be meeting at 5:30pm at the storage container adjacent to the entrance of the park. Hope to see you there!

Trails are kind of damp but just barely over the line of being ok to ride for anyone looking to sneak in a late loop. Fatter the tires the better.

Apparently the area was hit with a *lot* more rain than other trails were. It is unlikely the trails at Bertram will dry enough to ride tonight.
We will be keeping an eye on things for Wednesday night trail work. If the forecast holds for severe storms, we will cancel (call will be made midday on Wednesday).

Even with the heavy downpours last night, the trail dried out enough to ride this morning and should be riding amazing. Make Bertram your destination for a fun weekend ride!

Trails are riding great. Help us keep them that way by joining us tomorrow night for Wednesday night trail work at Bertram. We meet at 5:30pm at the storage container adjacent to the entrance of the park - recommended attire is long pants, sturdy shoes, work gloves, and don't forget to bring some water. We hope to see you there!

The trail volunteers worked on and completed another segment of the East side Kame area trail realignment last night. With this segment done, we decided to officially open the reroute. Since this is new trail hand built by volunteers, the trail surface will feel a little rough, but it will ride in over time. In the future the end of it may be rerouted slightly further to avoid the snow drifting for winter grooming, we just didn't quite have the manpower to go further than we did for now.
The new trail replaces some very old trail we were having cupping and erosion issues with, and trimming will be less frequent as well. The new trail is also more interesting & fun to ride. We hope you like it.
This concludes the spring trail building season. The trail volunteer efforts will start to focus on trimming and maintenance as we get into June. Please consider coming out to a Wednesday trail work night session this year!
