Gourds by Amy

The kids helped me tag and load all the gourds last night and Hoyt, Terry and I delivered them to Kent's Cucurbits LLC this morning!
Kent's opening weekend for Pumpkin sales is next weekend, the 13th and 14th!
They are selling mums again today! If you are needing some, you better hurry! They are almost sold out!!!

All in a days work!! At least 12 hours of the day that is!

Today's task at hand!!

My mom, aka Mamaw, asked me earlier this week if I needed her to help me dye gourds, a job she and dad had helped me do the last several years. I told her I had gotten all if that done, but she could come help me put the raffia and lights in if she wanted to! Ta Da!!
Thank you, Mamaw for helping me get them done!
Next task, stenciling the big gourds!!

Headed to the assembly line this weekend to have the raffia and hats attached and lights plugged in!

Its been a slow start...but im trying!
My niece, Jackie has been helping me out drawing faces so I can come home from work and carve! I am so thankful to have her!!

I'll start this post by thanking those who have supported my little hobby over the past 15 years or so! It is greatly appreciated!
I've been blessed over the years to have my folks help my with the staining process.
We lost dad on September 5th.
I sure will miss that time with him!
