Weston was knee-high to a grasshopper when he started mixed martial arts lessons at the Freedom School about 10 years ago. Now I'm a little afraid of him ;-) Weston will be honored with a Black Belt promotion this August 8

❤️ When 5-year-old Jocelyn Rojas was kidnapped after a stranger lured her into a car with the promise of ice cream, two teenagers refused to stand by.
Fifteen-year-old Temar Boggs and his friend jumped on their bikes, spotted the suspect’s car, and chased it for nearly 15 minutes until the kidnapper abandoned Jocelyn and fled.
As soon as she was free, Jocelyn ran to Temar and said, “I want my mom.”
Because two teenagers chose courage over fear, a little girl made it home safely.
Heroes don’t always wear badges. Sometimes, they ride bicycles. ❤️

So I just hung up the phone with a Mom whose son was in my program years ago.
Now at sixteen, he is driving and doing job interviews and such...
Mom says that adults often comment about Zach's handshake, saying that it's firm with good eye contact. :-)
I was delighted to learn that she credits her son's time training at Freedom School for life lessons like how to shake hands and carry one's self with confidence.
