Long day at the ball field.

Our day started at 730am for game 1. It was cold but that didn’t bother our girls. They battled hard in game 1 and walked it off with no time left to win game 1. Game 2 was against a team with a .900 winning percentage. The girls kept in close through 3 innings but they pulled away from us in the end and we lost game 2. 1-1 in pool play.

Bracket game started slow for us. Down 4-1 in the third the bats started to come alive and we battled back for the win 11-4. Championship game started at 8pm against the team we played in game 1. We held the lead throughout and won 3-2. Silver bracket champions.

It is such a privilege to coach this group of girls. They never quit fighting today. Shout out to our Championship MVP Lily P and our entire team for not slowing down and keeping it all on the dirt. Until next time.

Pink out weekend.

We talked at practice Friday night that the theme for the weekend was that it was “our time”. Saturday morning warmups we reminded the girls of our goals, #1 seed and a Gold championship.

Game 1 was against a team that we lost to just 2 tournaments ago. We put our heads down and battled coming out with a 5-2 victory. Game 2 we started hot at the plate, won 15-0 and Lily threw a no hitter. Only allowing 2 runs in pool play helped us secure the #1 seed and straight to the Gold championship game.

We met another local team of friends ThunderWolves Softball in the championship game. We fell behind early but battled back each and every inning. Our day ended with our first Gold runner up of the year.

While we did not fully accomplish our goals this weekend we gave it our all. This team makes mistakes. This coaching staff makes mistakes. However, we never stop believing in ourselves. I am proud of what this team has accomplished this year and what we will continue to accomplish before the season is over. Our time is coming.
