🎓 Congratulations, Mason Samuels 🎓
Mooresville Basketball is incredibly proud to congratulate senior Mason Samuels on being named a Commended Student in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program!
While this is an incredible academic achievement, it is also a reflection of the kind of person Mason is. He is a great leader within our basketball program, consistently leading by example, supporting his teammates, and representing what it means to be a Pioneer on and off the court.
Mason, we are extremely proud of you and all that you have accomplished! Keep leading, keep working, and keep setting the standard. Congratulations, Mason!

Mooresville High School is proud to announce that Mason Samuels has been named a Commended Student in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation was presented by Principal Upton to this scholastically talented senior this morning.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.
Although they will not continue in the 2027 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2027 competition by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).
"Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success" commented a spokesperson for NMSC. "These students represent a valuable
national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation.
We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them
as they continue their pursuit of academic success."

We feel like we have seen that gym floor and those bleachers before… 🤔! Anyone think the Puma Hali 1 “Pace” colorway should be a team shoe?
