🐴 **OCALA, FL — PART-TIME WORKING STUDENT + FREE HOUSING** ☀️
Looking for the **right working student to join our small, quiet family operation during Ocala’s peak season.** This is a great opportunity for a college student, someone with a remote job, or a horse person who wants to escape winter and spend the season **close to WEC/HITS and right where all the action is.**
**The position:**
• Monday–Friday evenings
• Approximately **4 hours/day — 20 hours/week**
• General horse care, grooming/tacking, barn chores, and helping with our program
• **Anything over 20 hours/week is paid hourly** — you will not be expected to quietly donate extra labor
• Additional paid hours are sometimes available
**What you receive:**
🏡 **FREE furnished housing/private bedroom** during peak season this benefit alone is $1000/month in Ocala close to WEC

🐴 **Daily riding and training opportunities** — every working student rides and has the opportunity to improve
🚛 Opportunity to trailer to shows with us
🏇 **Dry stall may be negotiable** if you bring your own horse
📍 Excellent Ocala location convenient to **WEC and HITS**
Our horses range from **lower-level hunter/jumper and dressage horses through FEI dressage horses.**
Riding opportunities will depend somewhat on experience and ability. Everyone gets saddle time, but a stronger rider may progress quickly into opportunities such as **riding or showing sales horses, developing higher-level horses, or working toward medal classes.** We are happy to invest in someone who is capable, reliable, and wants to learn.
**Minimum requirements:**
• At least **2 years of solid horse experience**
• Able to safely walk/trot/canter sane horses
• Reliable and able to work independently
• Good judgment and **emotional maturity**
• Kind to horses and people
• **No drugs, no pets**
• Female applicants only because of the private-home housing arrangement
We are a **no-drugs, no-drama, kind and quiet family operation.** We want someone who enjoys horses, communicates well, takes responsibility, and would genuinely like to become part of the program for the season.
This is particularly well suited to someone who wants to **spend the winter in Ocala, establish a base here, gain mileage and training, and be immersed in the horse world without needing to pay Ocala-season housing prices.**
